Regular use of Annual Leave. A. An employee shall be allowed to use any amount of accrued leave at the time the employee desires that will not be detrimental to agency operations, as determined by the Agency Head. Agency Heads shall establish a vacation leave schedule no later than January and shall give consideration to total municipal service in determining such schedules within each work unit.

Regular use of Annual Leave. An employee must notify the supervisor twenty- four (24) hours in advance when not more than sixteen (16) hours paid annual leave is desired. When longer periods of paid annual leave are desired, at least two (2) weeks advance notice must be given. Paid annual leave requested will be granted if, in the opinion of the supervisor, the employee can be spared from the section at the time requested. Otherwise, such requests shall be granted as soon as the employee can be spared from duty.
Regular use of Annual Leave. Annual Leave may be used for any purpose. The Employee has the right to use accrued Annual Leave, but not the right to determine when it shall be used. The Employee may use any amount of accrued Annual Leave at the time desired, if it is not detrimental to departmental operations as determined by the Chief of Police. The longer the period of leave requested, the longer should be the advance notice to enable scheduling.

  • Accumulation of Annual Leave A. During the first three (3) years of employment, a regular or limited term employee shall earn approximately five (5) hours and fifty-one (51) minutes of annual leave during each eighty (80) hour pay period (approximately one hundred fifty-two [152] hours per year), or a prorated amount for any pay period in which the employee is paid for less than eighty (80) hours.

  • Payment of Annual Leave (a) If an employee takes annual leave during a period, the annual leave shall be paid at the employee’s ordinary pay immediately before the period begins.

Full-time employees appointed for more than nine (9) months, except employees on academic year appointments, shall accrue annual leave at the rate of 6.769 hours biweekly or 14.667 hours per month (or a number of hours that is directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period for full-time employees), and the hours accrued shall be credited at the conclusion of each pay period or, upon termination, at the effective date of termination. Employees may accrue annual leave in excess of the year end maximum during a calendar year. Employees with accrued annual leave in excess of the year end maximum as of December 31, shall have any excess converted to sick leave on an hour-for-hour basis on January 1 of each year.
