Donation of Leave. In the event that licensed staff desire to donate leave to another licensed employee, one day of unused leave will be counted for each day of paid leave to the affected employee.
Donation of Leave. An employee who has an accrued sick leave balance of more than twenty-two (22) days may request the Superintendent or his/her designee to transfer a specified amount of sick leave to another employee authorized to receive leave. Donation shall not be posted for use in a pay period prior to that in which received. 3. The Division of Finance will convert the donated leave to dollars at the annualized hourly rate of the donor. That dollar amount will be converted to leave at the annualized hourly rate of the recipient and the appropriate hours of leave will be added to the recipient’s donated leave account for use as sick leave. The total amount of leave credited to the recipient’s donated leave account shall not exceed 300 hours during the life of the current agreement. Donated leave may not be used until all accrued sick and annual leave has been exhausted. 4. Once the Division of Finance has completed the above process, the State will not be obligated for further processing or liabilities resulting therefrom. Once the donation has been transferred to the recipient, the donation cannot be withdrawn, modified or otherwise returned to the donor’s leave account. Leave donations will not reduce the mandatory leave usage requirements established in the collective bargaining agreement. Upon the death of an employee, any unused donated leave shall be paid in cash to the employee’s beneficiaries at the employee’s annualized hourly rate. A teacher may donate one or more days of personal leave a year to the memorial scholarship revolving loan fund, or to a scholarship account in the fund, under AS 14.42.250-14.43.325. Donation of Leave. A. Donations of leave may be done on a volunteer basis only. An Officer will specify how much of his/her leave will be donated to the leave bank. All accrued leave time that exceeds the amount allotted by the current Agreement for each individual Officer may be transferred to the Leave Bank. B. Type of leave which may be donated are restricted to accrued vacation and sick leave. C. The completed form will be sent to the office of the Chief of Police for processing and filing.

Donation of Leave a. All donated leave must be voluntarily given. b. An employee may donate Annual Leave to a specific individual under the following conditions: i. The donating employee must have a leave balance greater than twenty-two (22) days. ii. The donating employee’s accrued annual leave balance may not go below twenty- two (22) days due to the donation.
Donation of Leave. Employees may volunteer to donate cashable annual leave to fellow employees, for any reason including for the conduct of Union business. Donating cashable annual leave for payment of services or purchases or in lieu of cash transactions to an employee is prohibited. The hours donated shall be at the discretion of the donating employee(s). The donation form must be approved by the requestor's supervisor before initial distribution. All donated leave will be converted into non cashable annual leave upon transfer, and once transferred will not be refunded back to donating employee(s) for any reason. The MOA retains the right to determine the process by which donated leave will be transferred. For instance, the MOA retains the right to select the first donating employee's donation for transfer, rather than being required to select pro rata among all donating employees. Additionally, the MOA retains the right to limit hours transferred to a maximum of eighty (80) per pay period. All leave applicable to this paragraph is subject to requestor's Supervisor's approval.
