The proposal has been prepared in close contact with OECD/NEA, the IAEA Nuclear Data Section and the XXXX project and it is organized to maintain a close collaboration with these institutions to optimize the dissemination and long-term support of results, tools and know-how developed within the project. The scope of the project covers all the aspects of the nuclear data cycle, from new detectors and improved infrastructures, to actual measurements, specific evaluation and integration into nuclear data libraries, models to be used in the evaluation, validation with benchmarks of pre-existing and new integral experiments, models to be used at high energies, and integration within the international organizations (OECD/NEA and IAEA) tools for data and computer codes dissemination and archiving. To be able to cover such a wide range of aspects of the nuclear data field a wide collaboration with 35 institutions from all over Europe has been put together on a concerted effort where each institution contributes on the fields where they have demonstrated experience and capacity. The proposal will address different types of isotopes including actinides important both for present reactors but also for advanced reactors, their nuclear fuels and fuel cycle facilities, in particular different type of nuclear assemblies with fast neutron spectra propose in closed nuclear cycles with significant contributions to waste minimization. It will also cover structural materials, fission fragments and lighter isotopes for non- energy applications. In most cases the proposed actions in the project are oriented towards the reduction o...
Relation to the work programme. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), some types of extreme events (e.g. flash floods and related landslides, storm surges, heatwaves, fires, including vegetation fires) have increased in frequency or magnitude, and in the meantime populations and assets at risk have also increased, leading to greater disaster risks
Relation to the work programme. BlueBio pursues the aims of the Blue Bioeconomy topic BG-02-2018 in the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020. EU intervention is needed to create the conditions to mobilise investments by aligning national and regional innovation research agendas across different Blue Bioeconomy sectors. This is precisely what BlueBio aims to achieve. BlueBio will specifically create synergies between sectors and leverage adequate investments in the Blue Bioeconomy. The BlueBio consortium brings together 24 funding agencies from countries and regions in Europe, thus aligning the efforts of the different Member States. Together, the partners are aimed at funding research, development and innovation that will enhance the contribution of aquatic bioresources, blue biotechnology, land-based bioeconomy as well as new and unborn bioeconomy, to cover the whole range of expectations expressed in the call text. BlueBio also builds upon the networks, achievements and strategies obtained in the COFASP, ERA-MBT, ERA- NETs and JPI Oceans. Based on a need- gap analyses drawing on strategies, case studies, roadmaps and foresights within the scope of each network, partners in the consortium have elaborated the scope of the co-funded call. This has led to a broad, yet relevant scope, of potential topics, focused on the need to develop both new and traditional value chains. The Consortium will implement trans-national joint calls for projects to support innovation and research activities devoted to developing the Blue Bioeconomy, addressing innovative, sustainable and climate-friendly solutions to produce, harvest and exploit aquatic biomass from different trophic levels for use in food and other value chains. Emphasis will be placed on the creation of pre-commercial outputs aimed at accelerating commercialisation and competitive deployment. Technology Readiness levels (TRLs) will vary among the projects, considering the national/regional programmes funding opportunities, and the gaps being addressed. It is expected that most activities will take place between TRLs 2 to 6, acknowledging the expectations to create, test, upscale and bring to the market new knowledge-intensive products and services derived from aquatic biomass. Industry participations will be sought in all projects to contribute to a concrete and feasible business perspective. Efficient and targeted communication and dissemination of the outcome of the project is a must. This includes activities that inform all stakeholders ...

Relation to the work programme. The EQUAL4EUROPE project addresses the “Science with and for Society” work program and more specifically topic SwafS-09-2018-2019 “Supporting research organisations to implement gender equality plans”. The focus of this topic is on implementing Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in research organisations and universities, as "drivers" for systemic institutional changes. The EQUAL4EUROPE consortium includes 6 AHMSSBL institutions that have already implemented a variety of fragmented activities, but that also recognize that individual actions are not sufficient to really advance GE in their institute. Achieving systemic institutional change requires structural awareness, a coherent GE strategy, and that an integral set of measures be implemented to focus on: 1. Removing barriers to the recruitment, retention and career progression of female researchers; 2. Addressing gender imbalances in decision making processes; 3. Integrating the gender dimension in research and innovation content; To achieve structural change, each participating research performing institution (RPI) will develop and implement a tailored Gender Equality Plan (GEP). These GEPs will be informed by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) GEAR tool that will be tailored appropriately to fit the individual work plans. The EQUAL4EUROPE participants will assess their current situations in depth, identify the main areas of intervention, develop and implement GEPs that utilize inert-partner best practice while remaining aligned with local circumstances and challenges and, finally, monitor their results using specific targets and indicators. There are many relevant initiatives that the consortium will turn to for the identification of best practices related to the identified areas of intervention. The challenge is in tailoring these best practices to their own specific context (e.g. institutional characteristics) and to the context of AHMSSBL institutions in general. Additionally, each participant is a member of EFMD and/or CEEMAN. Additional members of these networks will be important stakeholders with whom the EQUAL4EUROPE project results will be shared. Each individual participant has the long-term commitment to implement the GEP from the highest management level. The signatories to the Letters of Commitment provided by each of the EQUAL4EUROPE participants demonstrates that their long-term commitment to implementing GEP exists at the highest management and executive level. The signatories a...
