Reporting Off Work. Employees shall report each day's absence from work by telephoning the answering service (or other designated telephone number) no later than two (2) hours prior to the scheduled starting time on the day of absence. In the event of an emergency, employees shall report their absence as soon as possible. Unless other arrangements have been made, an employee must call in on each day of absence. In the event no substitute is available, the Administration may cover for the absent employee in lieu of splitting the class/group. The Administration may also assign other qualified staff to cover a class/group during an employee’s absence.
Reporting Off Work. In the case of absence or tardiness, it is the obligation of each Bargaining Unit Employee to personally notify his/her immediate supervisor or unit secretary prior to the Bargaining Unit Employee’s scheduled report time with as much notice as possible
1. There shall be one (1) personnel file for each Bargaining Unit Employee and it shall be kept in the Human Resources Office.

When reporting off work, the employee or his/her designee shall contact his/her appropriate supervisor at least two hours before the scheduled starting time and notifies the immediate supervisor as to the expected date of return. When an employee is unable to work, he/she shall notify the supervisor or other designated person no less than one-half (1/2) hour prior to the time he/she is scheduled to report to work on each day of absence, unless emergency conditions make it impossible or unless the employee has made other reporting arrangements with the supervisor.
Reporting Off Work. All employees are expected to be on duty every work day except when using sick leave or taking official approved leave. The employee will be on duty or will return to work from an absence unless he reports as indicated in this policy. Failure to report for duty and/or to follow the dictates of this policy in reporting absences shall cause a corresponding loss of pay for the employee and he may also be disciplined. The supervisor or designee will accept the calls, or a message may be left on the department answering machine. There will be no pay for unexcused absences the day before or after a holiday or vacation day. The term 'day' means 'scheduled work day' and the term 'excused' shall mean 'absence for any reason except a sick day with a doctor's excuse or a pre-approved leave. When an employee is to be absent from work, he shall notify his supervisor or his designee of his impending absence no less than one-half (½) hour (except for the 24/7 employees which still requires one hour call in time) prior to the time he was to begin duty, or a message will be left on the department answering machine. The supervisor may waive the requirement if he judges the situation to be one which would prevent the employee from complying.

Employees shall not be held responsible for mechanical or human errors experienced by these systems.
Reporting Off Work. If any employee cannot report for duty as expected, the immediate supervisor or designee must be notified before the beginning of the workshift for that Nurse. Notification must be made by speaking to the supervisor; voicemails, e-mails or text messages are acceptable if the supervisor is not available when calling in. Besides leaving a message if a supervisor is not available, another supervisor or a director must also be notified by phone, voicemail, e-mail or text message. When the employee has contacted the second supervisor (when the first is not available), the employee’s responsibility is complete. If the employee’s absence extends more than one day, the employee should be prepared to provide a reason for the absence and an anticipated date of return. An employee who does not report for work, and fails to notify the immediate supervisor within a half hour (30 minutes) of the start of the workday, may be considered absent without leave and may not be paid for that day. If an employee is absent from the Health District for a period of more than 3 days without having notified their immediate supervisor, employment may be terminated.

When an employee is unable to work, the employee shall call the calloff phone line no later than 8:00 a.m. on each day of absence, unless emergency conditions make it impossible or unless the employee has made other reporting arrangements with the supervisor. In the event circumstances prevent an employee from calling off (e.g., the employee is hospitalized and unable to do so, or an injury or condition prevents the employee from calling off), then as soon as practicable, a member of the employee’s immediately family may contact the Employer to call the employee off work.
Reporting Off Work. A. Each employee shall report to his/her supervisor/designee each day that he/she is unable to report to work because of illness or for other unavoidable reasons. Such absence must be reported by thirty (30) minutes prior to the regularly scheduled starting time.
B. If other arrangements have not been made, it will be assumed an employee who has been on sick leave on any day will return the next scheduled workday unless the supervisor/designee is notified.
