Requirement to Work Overtime. 5.4.1 The Company may require an Employee to work reasonable overtime in addition to scheduled hours and the Employee will work reasonable overtime in accordance with such requirements. It is also recognised that from time to time some Employees may request to work less hours due to personal/banking commitments. Requests to work a shorter day will be considered on their merits.
5.4.2 The assignment of overtime by the Company to an Employee will be based on specific work requirements and the practice of “one in, all in” overtime will not apply.
5.4.3 Where an Employee is unable to work reasonable overtime, for personal reasons, the matter will be dealt with on a case by case basis, between management and the Employee.

Requirement to Work Overtime. Employees may be required to work reasonable overtime in addition to their normal roster and an Employee will be expected to work overtime in accordance with this requirement.
Requirement to Work Overtime. Employees shall be required to work overtime if not enough qualified employees volunteer to meet the requirements of a job. Failure to comply is subject to Department disciplinary action.
Requirement to Work Overtime. The Employing Authority, for reasonable cause, may require any employee to work overtime to meet operational requirements or in cases of emergency.
Requirement to Work Overtime. The nature of the Project is such that employees may be required to work reasonable overtime. Subject to the Company’s and the site’s operating requirements, work will generally be planned on the basis of ten (10) hours per day averaging a total of 130 hours per fortnight with every second Saturday or Sunday being an unpaid non-working day. The hours that are additional to the ordinary hours are overtime and are not guaranteed. For the purposes of assessing the reasonableness of hours above 38 per week, hours of work will be averaged over a 12 month period. The assignment of overtime by the Company to an employee shall be based on specific work requirements and the practice of “one in, all in” overtime shall not apply.
Requirement to Work Overtime. (a) Overtime work shall be performed by employees whenever called.
(b) Notwithstanding Article 9.1(a), an employee may refuse overtime provided there are other employees who:
(i) are not scheduled to work either a full shift for that day or who are not scheduled to work five complete shifts for the scheduled week.
(ii) are willing to do the work.
(iii) are able to do the work.
(c) Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Employer may require the most junior employee in the classification to do overtime work.
Requirement to Work Overtime. (i) Subject to subclause (b) an employer may require an employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates.
(ii) An employee may refuse to work overtime in circumstances where the working of such overtime would result in the employee working hours which are unreasonable having regard to: • Any risk to employee health and safety; • The employee’s personal circumstances including any family responsibilities; • The needs of the workplace or enterprise; • The notice (if any) given by the employer of the overtime and by the employee of his or her intention to refuse it; and; • Any other relevant matter.
