Section 18.4. 32 If an evaluator determines that an employee's performance needs improvement, the evaluator will 33 develop and present an improvement plan to such employee, provided that this Article shall not be 34 construed in any way as prohibiting the District from disciplining or dismissing an employee whose 35 performance is determined to be unsatisfactory. 4 1. Pursuant to Article XII, Section 12.1, the District shall establish a staff development fund for 5 members of the Edmonds Association of Office Personnel in order to provide opportunities to 6 improve or enhance job-related skills and professional growth.
8 2. The fund shall be administered by a committee. The committee shall meet once per month or 9 on an as-needed basis.
11 3. All Office Personnel who have completed their 90-day probationary period and are regular 12 employees of the District are eligible to participate.
14 4. The initial allocation for each eligible employee will be based on funds budgeted for the current 15 year plus any carryover from the previous year, divided by the number of eligible employees. 16 Employees shall be notified by the Association of the amount available and of specific 17 guidelines for use of the funds. New employees hired subsequent to October 1st will receive a 18 prorated amount after their probation is completed, based on their date of hi...
Section 18.4. 20 Should any article, section, or clause of this Agreement be declared illegal by a court of competent 21 jurisdiction, said article, section, or clause, as the case may be, shall be automatically deleted from this 22 Agreement to the extent that it violated the law. The remaining articles, sections, and clauses shall 23 remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Agreement if not affected by the deleted article, 24 section, or clause.
Section 18.4. 33 Employees shall be notified in writing of their employment status for the subsequent school year no later 34 than August 15 each year. Such notice shall indicate the (provisional) building assignment and hours for 35 the next school year. Section 18.4. Any employee required to travel from one site to another in a private vehicle during working 35 hours shall be reimbursed for such travel on a per-mile basis at the maximum allowable mileage rate 36 recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a deductible business expense, or the District approved rate, if 37 higher.
