Section 7.1. 10 The workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, followed by two (2) 11 consecutive days of rest, Saturday and Sunday; provided, however, the District may assign an 12 employee to a workweek of any five (5) consecutive days which are followed by two (2) consecutive 13 days of rest. 14
Section 7.1. 20 The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, followed by 21 two (2) consecutive days of rest, Saturday and Sunday. The District shall establish work shifts with 22 designated times of beginning and ending. Each shift shall include adequate time to perform assigned 23 duties, including forty (40) minutes per week, for checking email or updating sub plans. An employee 24 who does not believe they are receiving adequate time for performance of their duties may request a 25 review of their schedule by their immediate supervisor or principal’s designee.
Section 7.1. 1. 18 Regular employees shall be allowed to use a maximum of five (5) days of sick leave per year for 19 an emergency. An emergency is defined as an unforeseen and suddenly precipitated occurrence of 20 a serious nature beyond the control of the employee which threatens the well-being or the property 21 of the employee, or for the serious illness of a member of the immediate family, defined as parent, 22 spouse, domestic partner, child, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, or 23 aunt, uncle, xxxxx, and nephew living in the employee's household. The emergency must be of 24 such a nature that preplanning is not possible or could not relieve the necessity for the employee's 25 absence. Inclement weather, including a snowstorm which results in the closing of schools, is not 26 normally considered an emergency except in unusual circumstances which otherwise fit the 27 definition of emergency, as determined by the employee’s supervisor. The approval of the 28 immediate supervisor and reason for the absence shall be submitted on a time sheet.
Section 7.1. 14 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite shift with designated times of beginning and ending, 15 which shall not be changed without two (2) calendar weeks prior notice to the employee, or unless 16 required by an emergency or where overtime is necessary. The District shall have the right to establish 17 work schedules and starting times.

Section 7.1. 25 Any regular or full-time employee who is permanently transferred involuntarily from a lower 26 classification to a higher classification shall assume the higher classification rate of pay. Such an 27 involuntary transfer shall not cause the employee to suffer a loss in pay.
Section 7.1. 3. Employees shall be paid up to thirty (30) days for any accrued vacation at the 3 employee's hourly rate in effect at termination.
Section 7.1. 8 Each employee will be assigned a basic shift consisting of five (5) consecutive workdays, Monday 9 through Friday. For calculation of extra hours and overtime, the work week shall consist of seven days, 10 Sunday through Saturday, except as otherwise provided in Appendix B. Each employee assigned to a 11 shift will have a designated time of beginning and ending. A rest period of fifteen (15) minutes shall 12 be granted during each shift of four (4) consecutive hours. Each shift of eight (8) hours and thirty (30) 13 minutes shall include a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period, a fifteen (15) minute first half 14 and a fifteen (15) minute second half rest period. The Administration shall establish split shifts as a 15 basic shift only when necessary. All employees who are directed to work on Saturday or Sunday shall 16 be compensated the overtime rate except those employees who volunteer for extra hours.
Section 7.1. Section 7.1 of the Securityholders’ Agreement shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following new Section 7.1:
