OUT OF TITLE. Employees may be temporarily transferred to work in another job title without regard to classification and Rutgers seniority for periods up to sixty (60) calendar days, and for such additional periods of time as may be mutually agreed upon between Rutgers and the Union. Temporary assignments of employees to work temporarily in other job titles may be made without change in pay rate, except that an employee who is assigned to work in another job title for a period in excess of two (2) continuous working days shall thereafter be entitled to be paid, retroactively to the first day of his/her temporary assignment, a rate of pay which would be equal to the rate the employee would receive if he/she were promoted to the higher title (at least one (1) increment above his/her regular rate). It is understood that Rutgers will not rotate a temporarily assigned employee for the purpose of avoiding compensation to the employee under this provision. A temporary assignment of an employee to work in another job title for more than two (2) continuous working days shall be put in writing to the employee and the Union by his/her supervisor. If such assignment is not put in writing to the employee, the employee will not be held accountable for performing the higher-level work.
OUT OF TITLE. Effective with the execution of this contract, when a bargaining unit employee works out-of-title in a non-bargaining unit position, he/she will receive an increase in base pay up to the rate of the position he/she is assuming, or charge pay, whichever is greater, for all hours worked.
OUT OF TITLE. If an employee of the Village of Xxxxx who is covered under this Agreement is requested by the Superintendent of Public Works to work in a higher title for one (1) hour or more in any one (1) day, the employee shall be paid the difference in pay between the employee’s regular pay and he pay he would have received if he encumbered the higher title. The monies owed the employee shall be paid in the pay period following out-of-title work rather than semi-annually. The selection process for out-of-title work will be made from among qualified employees at the discretion of the Superintendent.
OUT OF TITLE. When an employee covered by this Agreement is assigned to work at a job classification higher than the employee’s regular job for more than ten (10) days, the employee shall be paid as if the employee had been promoted to the higher level position. Out of title pay shall be paid only when filling a vacancy and for the days and hours actually worked by an employee; it shall not be paid for hours or days during which an employee is using paid leave time. Holiday pay will be paid at the out of title rate when the employee performs out of title duties on both the workday prior and the workday following the holiday.
OUT OF TITLE. An employee covered by this agreement who is assigned to temporarily perform duties of a higher job classification shall be compensated for such duties by one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour over their present hourly rate for all time worked out of such class.
OUT OF TITLE. In the event of an extended absence of an NCC or ANCC or other positions outside the bargaining unit, a member who is requested to perform functions normally performed by the NCC or ANCC will receive a differential of ten percent of their hourly rate or the minimum rate for that position. In the event that said employee is entitled to overtime pay, holiday pay, or shift differential as defined in this Agreement during the period the employee is working out of title, he/she will receive the additional pay for those hours worked. During the period the employee is working out of title, bargaining unit seniority will not accrue. If the time period exceeds six (6) months, bargaining unit seniority shall be lost. The Employer shall notify the Union of any bargaining unit employee who is requested to work Out of Title.
OUT OF TITLE. Employees temporarily assigned to duties in a higher pay grade for a full day shall be compensated at the higher rate of pay while performing such duties. All out of title work shall have prior written authorization from the Superintendent of DPW or designee. Failure to obtain written authorization shall negate a claim for out of title pay. This article does not apply to any member who has not completed their probationary period. It is understood that employees working out-of-title shall be placed on the corresponding step of the higher title.
OUT OF TITLE. In the event of an existing vacancy, the Field Commander may designate a member to serve in an "Acting" capacity. A member so designated shall be entitled to the difference in pay between the salary of the "Acting" rank and their current rank from the first day of the "Acting" assignment.
OUT OF TITLE. 13.1 An employee may be assigned by the Sheriff to perform duties of a higher classification. Only in such event, will an employee be compensated at a higher rate of pay for the duties performed during the period the employee is assigned to the higher classification. '
OUT OF TITLE. 14.1 An employee may be assigned by the department head to perform duties of a higher classification. Only in such event, he/she shall be compensated for such duties during the period the employee performs same at the higher rate of pay (to be determined at the employees current salary step).
14.2 An employee may be assigned by the department head to temporarily perform the duties of a lower classification. In that event, he/she shall be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay.
