Shared Assignment. Teachers may select job sharing, by application to the Human Resources Office, and upon the approval of the administration, pair a teaching assignment.
Shared Assignment. If two or more faculty are sharing a work assignment (that is, only one person is working at a time) each faculty member shall be credited with his/her prorated share of the workload for that course.
Shared Assignment. 25.1 “Shared Assignment” at the elementary level shall be defined as two (2) bargaining unit members sharing the same assignment during a portion of, or an entire, school year. “Part-Time Assignment” shall be defined at the secondary level as a bargaining unit member who works less than a full time assignment for a portion of, or an entire, school year.
Shared Assignment. A. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and with Board approval, principals may select job sharing by application to the Human Resources Office.
B. Such a partnership may exist if it does not detract from the administrative operations of the position. Such an arrangement will require special scheduling, administrative support, and effective communication to make this concept administratively sound.
C. The job-sharing Administrator will receive a full year's credit on the seniority list and salary schedule. Shared positions cannot be for less than one (1) year and may be terminated at will by the Superintendent if it is found to be counterproductive.
D. The position must be applied for by March 15 each year for the following school year.
E. Denial of such requests will not be subject to the grievance procedure.
F. The positions or any part thereof presently in the bargaining unit shall not be transferred to persons not covered by this Agreement.
G. Remuneration and benefit cost shall be computed on a pro rata basis.
Shared Assignment. When two or more teachers share the responsibility for an extra-curricular activity to which one teacher would otherwise be assigned, the principal shall indicate on the written notice of assignments how the allowance is to be divided, after consultation with the teachers involved.
Shared Assignment. 22.1 Upon agreement by the two teachers and the District, the unit members shall be allowed to share one position.
22.2 Unit members requesting shared assignments shall do so prior to April 15 of the preceding school year.

Shared Assignment. 11.1.1 Job-sharing shall refer to two (2) unit members sharing one (1) full-time assignment.
11.1.2 All present assignments may be filled by two (2) job-sharers with appropriate credentials and/or experience subject to the remaining qualifications of this Section. The ability to have job-sharing is, however, at the discretion of the District. Upon one hundred twenty (120) calendar days advance notification, the District may require that the individuals engaged in job-sharing return to full-time unit employment the following school year (except those half-time employees covered under section 11.2 of this Article referring to Education Code 44922).
11.1.3 Job-sharing assignments may be filled by unit members who have jointly requested to work together, whenever possible.
11.1.4 Unit members desiring such an assignment shall make a formal request in writing to the Personnel Office. The deadline for requests shall be the same as for all other applications or transfer requests from the certificated staff.
11.1.5 Job-sharers may request to be transferred to an increased assignment providing they have filed a request in the Personnel Office a long with the "Intent to Return Next Year".
11.1.6 Responsibilities of an assignment by two (2) job-sharers may be divided and/or allocated according to a plan designed by the immediate supervisor and the job-sharers. Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to attendance at regular staff meetings, and parent conferencing by both unit members and other reasonable assigned duties.
11.1.7 Teachers who work less than full time will participate in all professional activities, such as orientation, staff development days and parent-teacher conferences, which relate to their jobs. An effort will be made to keep the amount of time spent proportional to the total amount of time the teacher works, but this may not be possible in job-sharing situations.
11.1.8 Job-sharing unit members shall be placed appropriately on the Certificated Salary Schedule, receive one (1) step increment for each year of service, be given appropriate added increments for advanced degrees, tenure, or longevity, and receive the same District-paid fringe benefits provided part-time unit members.
11.1.9 Job-sharing unit members shall accumulate sick leave in proportion to their job-sharing assignment.
Shared Assignment. 36.9.5.1 Two (2) Probationary or Permanent Program Specialists may split a full-time assignment, with District concurrence, to include but not to be limited to: division of days, segmenting days of the week, and/or semesters of the school year in order that the assignment might be shared by two (2) unit members. *36.9.5.2 Shared assignments shall be implemented in accordance with Article 18.
