Vacancies and Assignments. 1. Vacancies or newly created positions within the bargaining unit shall be posted for a period of ten (10) days prior to the position being permanently filled. The Board, however, may set aside the ten (10) days if there is an urgent need to fill the position. Vacancy notices shall be emailed to all staff, posted on the district website, posted on bulletin boards in each district building, along with a copy of such posting to the Association.

Vacancies and Assignments. 15.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is permanently filled. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to apply for posted vacancies. It is agreed that the Gallery will not interview applicants from outside until the applications received from existing employees have been reviewed and qualified bargaining unit candidates have been interviewed. Further, the Gallery will notify existing applicants in writing once the successful applicant is selected.

Vacancies and Assignments. 16.1 If a vacancy for a position occurs in an attendance center as a result of a resignation or termination, then such vacancy shall be posted for five (5) work days at the Board’s administrative office, on the SEDOM web site and a copy sent to the Association President or designee.

Vacancy Posting - All vacancies shall be posted in a conspicuous place in each building of the district for a period of ten (10) workdays or five (5) days in case of an emergency with consultation with Association President. Said posting shall contain the following information with a copy to the Association President:

All employees to be re-employed for the forthcoming year shall receive their contracts according to the following schedule: Twelve (12) month employees: by May 1; Ten (10) month employees: by June 1. Signed contracts are to be returned to the Superintendent’s Office no later than fifteen (15) school days after receipt of the contract. If not returned by said date, the position may be declared vacant. A list of known vacancies shall be posted in both school buildings no later than fifteen (15) days after contracts are returned.
