SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES.
(1) Afternoon Shift
(a) The loading on the ordinary rate of pay for an employee who works a complete rostered afternoon shift commencing not earlier than 1200 and finishing after 1800 on week days will be 15%.
(b) Afternoon shift loading is not paid to an employee who on any weekday commences their ordinary hours of work after 1200 and completes those hours at or before 1800 on that day.
(2) Night Shift
(a) The loading on the ordinary rates of pay for an employee who works a complete rostered night shift between the hours of 1830 and 0730 on a weekday will be 35%.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. (1) This Clause shall be interpreted in conjunction with Clause 17 - Shift Work Allowance of the Public Service Award 1992.
(a) The first roster period shall commence the first Friday after the first day following the signing of the Agreement.
(b) A night shift, operable between the hours of 1901 - 0701, will attract a shift allowance of $18.60 per shift as per Schedule J of the Public Service Award 1992 which is based on the shift allowance paid for 7.5 hours and shall be varied in accordance with any alteration to Schedule J of the Public Service Award 1992.
(c) Work performed during ordinary rostered hours on Saturdays or Sundays shall be paid at the rate of time and one half and on public holidays at double time and one half. These rates shall be paid in lieu of the allowance prescribed in Paragraph (2)(b) of this Clause.
(d) Where a shift extends into a public holiday, an Officer shall have been deemed to have worked the public holiday, when the majority of the shift occurred during the public holiday. e.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. For ordinary hours of shift work, shift workers shall be paid the following extra percentages of the rates prescribed for their respective classifications: Percentages
(1) Early Morning Shift 12.5
(2) Permanent Afternoon Shift 17.5
(3) Permanent Night Shift 30.0
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. 9.1 Employees engaged on day, afternoon and night shift in regular weekly rotation shall be paid as set out in Item 1 of Table 2.
9.2 Employees engaged on day and night shift only in regular weekly rotation shall be paid as set out in Item 2 of Table 2.
9.3 Employees engaged on afternoon and night shift only in regular weekly rotation shall be paid as set out in Item 3 of Table 2.
9.4 Employees engaged on afternoon shift only shall be paid as set out in Item 4 of Table 2.
9.5 Employees engaged on permanent night shift shall be paid as set out in Item 5 of Table 2.
9.6 Employees instructed by the Company to change shift during any week shall be paid as set out in Item 6 of Table 2 for each change but not for the change back.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. (1) Afternoon Shift
(a) The loading on the ordinary rate of pay for an Employee who works a complete rostered afternoon shift commencing not earlier than 1200 and finishing after 1800 on week days will be 12.5%.
(b) Notwithstanding subclause (1)(a), afternoon shift loading is not paid to an Employee who on any weekday commences his or her ordinary hours of work after 1200 and completes those hours at or before 1800 on that day.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. 19.3.1. A shift worker shall be paid the following percentage allowances in addition to their ordinary rate for the duration of work on a rostered shift on:
19.3.1.1. early morning shift 10%
19.3.1 2. afternoon shift 17.5% 19.3.1.3 night shift (rotating shift) 17.5% 19.3.1.4. permanent night shift 30%
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. 17.6.1 The following Shift Work Allowances shall apply to Weekly Employees on shifts worked Monday to Friday. Payment for these allowances are incorporated into the Annualised Salaries prescribed by sub-clause 12.1: Shift Type % of Ordinary Rate
17.6.2 The shift allowances are calculated as a percentage (%) of the Ordinary Rates prescribed by sub-clause 12.2.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. An employee rostered to work in accordance with a shift roster will be paid the following loadings in addition to their ordinary rate of pay: Monday to Friday – evening shift Finishing after 6.30 pm 15% 115% Saturday All hours on Saturday 50% 150% Sunday All hours on Sunday 100% 200% Public holiday All hours on a public holiday 150% 250%
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. (i) Employees engaged on shift work will be paid in addition to ordinary rates a shift work allowance for each day on which a shift is worked provided that such allowance is not payable where shift work is arranged at the request of the employee.
(ii) An employee instructed by the employer to change shift during any week shall be paid an additional allowance for each change.
SHIFT WORK ALLOWANCES. (a) An employee rostered to work an Afternoon Shift will be entitled to receive an afternoon shift allowance of 15% of the employee's base rate of pay for ordinary hours that the employee is engaged on an Afternoon Shift.
(b) An employee rostered to work a Night Shift will be entitled to receive a night shift allowance of 15% of the employee's base rate of pay for ordinary hours that the employee is engaged on a Night Shift.
(c) Employees who are rostered to work a Permanent Night Shift will be entitled to receive a night shift allowance of 30% of the employee's base rate of pay for all hours that the employee is engaged on a Permanent Night Shift.
(d) An employee who is engaged as an Apprentice in accordance with this Agreement, will not be rostered to work Night Shift so as to ensure their safety.
(e) An employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue for at least 5 successive afternoon or night shifts must be paid for each shift 50% extra for the first 3 hours and 100% extra for the remaining hours.
