Every reasonable effort will be made to fill the vacancy with a substitute teacher. In order to accomplish filling the vacancy, a teacher must enter his/her absence in AESOP as soon as possible, especially when the teacher has knowledge of the absence in advance.
SUBSTITUTE ASSIGNMENT. Employment is on an on-call as needed basis to provide services when help is required because of the absence of an employee or to work in an assignment and is not considered continuing. Substitute assignment also refers to when an employee steps up to provide required services due to the absence of an employee for a period of less than 10 days and is not considered continuous. A substitute employee employed for more than thirty (30) days of work during any calendar year who continues to remain available for work shall be included within this bargaining unit and afforded seniority rights consistent with the terms of this Agreement when substitutes, and only substitutes, have made application for the same vacancy. It is understood and agreed that substitutes shall not have the right to grieve actions relating to the application of seniority. (d) Term Employment. Employees hired under special programs when funding or the program is limited to a specific period of twelve (12) months or less. Such employees enjoy full contract benefits except that their employment contract is limited to twelve months or less, and they are not entitled to seniority, layoff, or recall provisions of regular employment.   • Acting Assignment (a) For the purpose of this Agreement, acting assignment means the assignment of an employee on an acting basis to a Postmaster or Senior Assistant position which is at a higher classification level than the position to which he is appointed. An employee will perform the duties of the higher classification level that may be required during the acting assignment in order to be entitled to receive the acting pay.

  • Subcontracting; Assignment The Contractor may not subcontract any portion of the services provided under this Contract without obtaining the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer, nor may the Contractor assign this Contract or any of its rights or obligations hereunder, without the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer provided, however, that a contractor may assign monies receivable under a contract after due notice to the State. Any subcontracts shall include such language as may be required in various clauses contained within this Contract, exhibits, and attachments. The Contract shall not be assigned until all approvals, documents, and affidavits are completed and properly registered. The State shall not be responsible for fulfillment of the Contractor’s obligations to its subcontractors.

  • Additional Assignments The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.

  • Assignment/Transfer The Credit (or a portion thereof as earned) under this Agreement may be assigned to an “Affiliated Corporation” in accordance with RTC section 23663. As stated in RTC section 23689(i)(1), this Agreement shall not restrict, broaden, or alter the ability of Taxpayer to assign the Credit in accordance with RTC section 23663. In order to transfer this Agreement as a result of a sale or merger, prior written consent of GO- Biz must be obtained or the transfer will be void. Such transfer shall be permitted if GO-Biz determines that the transfer would further the purposes of the CCTC program and benefit California. Prior to GO-Biz consenting to the transfer, the new entity must disclose to GO-Biz the number of California full-time employees it employed at the time of acquisition or merger and any other information GO-Biz requests that applicants for a CCTC provide pursuant to a CCTC application.

  • Room Assignment The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary. Tenants failing to arrive within 48 hours of the specified move-in date, without informing Residence Services of the delay, will lose their room assignment.

  • Collateral Assignment The Owner may assign this contract as collateral security. The Company is not responsible for the validity or effect of a collateral assignment. The Company will not be responsible to an assignee for any payment or other action taken by the Company before receipt of the assignment in writing at its Home Office. The interest of any beneficiary will be subject to any collateral assignment made either before or after the beneficiary is named. A collateral assignee is not an Owner. A collateral assignment is not a transfer of ownership. Ownership can be transferred only by complying with Section 8.2.

  • Assignment of Contract A. Unless expressly agreed to elsewhere in the Contract, no assignment by a party hereto of any rights under or interests in the Contract will be binding on another party hereto without the written consent of the party sought to be bound; and, specifically but without limitation, money that may become due and money that is due may not be assigned without such consent (except to the extent that the effect of this restriction may be limited by law), and unless specifically stated to the contrary in any written consent to an assignment, no assignment will release or discharge the assignor from any duty or responsibility under the Contract Documents.
