Supervisors Performing Bargaining Unit Work. (a) At no time shall supervisors, other employees outside the bargaining unit or contractors perform bargaining unit work which would result in the layoff of a bargaining unit employee who is any of the classifications listed in Schedule “A” to this Agreement or the reduction of such a bargaining unit employee’s normal scheduled hours of work of benefits. Further, while employees are on layoff should the Employer determine that some bargaining unit work exists which would provide for a minimum of one day work (8 hour shift) or greater, the Employer shall first offer the work to bargaining unit members on layoff based on work required (ie. job classification) in order of seniority. It is expressly understood, however, that such offer shall not be made where additional or excessive equipment would be required to be purchased or time constraints would not allow. (b) The Employer will supply the Union with a list of Supervisors.

Supervisors Performing Bargaining Unit Work. 15.01 Supervisors will not normally perform work customarily performed by the employees in the bargaining unit, except: 1. as a result of an urgent or emergency condition; 2. for the purpose of demonstration training; 3. to occasionally relieve an employee for a short period; or 4. when a regular employee is not available due to being late for work or absent from work. Such work by supervisors will not result in the layoff of any regular full-time employees falling within the scope of this Agreement. Sales supervisors shall continue to perform their normal sales and merchandising activities.

Supervisors Performing Bargaining Unit Work. Section 1 A Supervisor or an employee exempt from the provisions of this Agreement shall not perform work of a nature normally performed by an employee covered by this Agreement, except in cases of emergency, correction of trouble, or for purposes of training, provided, however, in so doing an employee covered by this Agreement shall not be unreasonably deprived of earning opportunities. The parties understand and agree that every member of the school community should take responsibility for the appearance of the school and to prevent waste. Therefore, it is likewise understood that this Article shall not be deemed to be being violated when a Supervisor picks up litter, helps clean up such hazards as broken glass or spills, turns off lights or appliances, or performs similar tasks. This shall not result in a loss of time by any bargaining unit member.

In the event of an emergency, including, but not limited to, avoiding interruption of necessary service, ensuring the safety of customers, employees, and equipment, or as otherwise determined by the Company, that is not expected to last more than 60 minutes, the SO qualified Supervisor, or qualified designee, having been qualified on the system and attained the minimum level of Operator “C”, may perform any work within the job description of the System Operator. For any emergency that will require more than 60 minutes, the SO Supervisor or his designee may fill in until a System Operator can be secured. b. In the event the SO Supervisor, or designee, performs bargaining unit work under this Section, the Company shall provide notice to the Union regarding the events warranting such action. c. Prior to filing a grievance on any perceived violation of Section 8, the System Operator Xxxxxxx and the Supervisor of System Operations will meet to discuss the basis for the Supervisor’s assessment that the work was necessary to perform pursuant to Section 8. Both the Xxxxxxx and Supervisor will document the information shared in the discussion and provide both to Labor Relations, which shall share all information with the Local Union for further discussion.
Supervisors Performing Bargaining Unit Work. Managers, supervisors, and non- bargaining unit employees shall not perform the work of bargaining unit employees, except to cover breaks and absenteeism, rush periods, reasonable training periods, and emergency situations, provided that the Westin has made a reasonable effort under the circumstances to find a readily available qualified bargaining unit employee to perform the work. “Leads” covered by this Agreement may direct the work of employees and perform other duties as assigned by the Westin.
