TEACHER RECRUITMENT. All professional classroom openings shall be filled by persons certified in the area in which they will be teaching. Whenever a classroom vacancy arises, the superintendent shall promptly notify the president of the Association. A bargaining unit member may file an application for a position at any time whether a vacancy exists or not, and such application shall be kept on file and shall constitute an application at any time a vacancy occurs. Members currently employed by the District will be given priority when teaching vacancies for which they are certified occur within the District.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT. This stipend is available to the designated CTE teachers who have an active, co-curricular California Department of Education (CDE) recognized CTSO.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT. A. The object of teacher recruitment is to obtain the highest qualified staff consistent with the resources of the District. The Association will use its best efforts to promote the reputation of the District at all times. The Association may make recommendations for new methods of recruitment or suggestions to aid in the recruitment process. Teachers shall, upon the request of the Board or its authorized representatives, assist in the recruitment process and the evaluation of candidates for positions within the unit represented by the Association. B. Whenever any vacancy, or new position, as defined by the Board of Education or its authorized representative, shall occur in any professional position (certificated and/or instructional) in the District, including those annual part-time positions, in addition to the regular teaching position, for which a teacher receives additional annual compensation, written notice of such vacancy or new position shall be given to the President of the Association as soon as is practicable. Such notice shall contain all available information relative to the vacancy or new position. In addition, teacher vacancies will be posted on the District website and in all buildings. C. Any qualified teacher may apply for such vacancy or new position, and in filling such vacancy or new position the Board or its authorized representative agrees to give due weight to the professional background and attainments of all applicants. D. Current employees who are certified for a vacant position and apply for such position will be granted an interview during the interviewing process. E. All applicants who receive an interview shall be formally acknowledged by the District and notified when such position is filled.
TEACHER RECRUITMENT. A. The objective of Teacher Recruitment is to attract Teachers of the highest quality from varied social/educational backgrounds and experiences. B. Teachers should observe and evaluate student teachers assigned to them and make appropriate recommendations to the Administration.
TEACHER RECRUITMENT. In the event the School District has been unable to recruit and/or hire a suf- ficient number of certified teachers to fill existing vacancies in areas of critical need through the normal hiring, posting and transfer processes by June 1, the School District may enter into contracts with outside providers to provide services which would otherwise be filled by bargaining unit members. Except in circum- stances of unanticipated vacancies, the Federation shall be provided with no less than three (3) months’ prior written notice of any decision to utilize any outside providers. The School District shall use its best efforts to fill such vacancies through the normal hiring, transfer and job posting processes. The School District will continue its effort to recruit in shortage areas. Ordinarily an outside provider may be utilized to fill a vacancy in any location for two (2) school years. The Federation-District Committee shall meet in Febru- ary 2002 and in February of each subsequent year to evaluate whether a vacancy(ies) in critical needs areas can be addressed effectively by means other than renewal of a contract(s) with an outside provider(s). The Federation-District Committee will also consider ways to fill chronic vacancies permanently. Absent a concrete and reasonable basis for concluding that the vacancy(ies) can be filled for the following school year through the normal recruitment, hiring, transfer and job posting processes, the School District may contract for up to an additional two (2) years. A contract renewal shall be for only one (1) year if there is a con- crete and reasonable basis to conclude that the vacancy(ies) can be filled through normal processes in less than two (2) years. Teachers assigned by the School District pursuant to this agreement shall be considered as employees of the outside provider(s), shall not be considered as members of the school faculty or staff, and shall not be available for any other school duties.
TEACHER RECRUITMENT. 7.1.1 New Teacher The Board and the Association recognize that the recruitment of new teachers is of importance to both the Board and the Association.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT. A. 1. Only professionally qualified candidates shall be considered for hiring. 2. When there is an opening for a full-time position, it shall be filled by a full-time teacher and not split among part-time teachers. For the purpose of this paragraph, a full-time position is defined as follows: In the elementary schools, a position for a full-time classroom teacher within the building. In the secondary schools, a position for a full-time classroom teacher within the building and within a particular subject area in a department.

  • Recruitment When advertising for employees, the contractor will include in all advertisements for employees the notation: "An Equal Opportunity Employer." All such advertisements will be placed in publications having a large circulation among minorities and women in the area from which the project work force would normally be derived. a. The contractor will, unless precluded by a valid bargaining agreement, conduct systematic and direct recruitment through public and private employee referral sources likely to yield qualified minorities and women. To meet this requirement, the contractor will identify sources of potential minority group employees, and establish with such identified sources procedures whereby minority and women applicants may be referred to the contractor for employment consideration. b. In the event the contractor has a valid bargaining agreement providing for exclusive hiring hall referrals, the contractor is expected to observe the provisions of that agreement to the extent that the system meets the contractor's compliance with EEO contract provisions. Where implementation of such an agreement has the effect of discriminating against minorities or women, or obligates the contractor to do the same, such implementation violates Federal nondiscrimination provisions. c. The contractor will encourage its present employees to refer minorities and women as applicants for employment. Information and procedures with regard to referring such applicants will be discussed with employees.

  • Periodic Recruitment The State reserves the right to add new Contractors during the term of the Centralized Contract via periodic recruitment. OGS will formally announce when the periodic recruitment Solicitation is issued. It is at the discretion of OGS when a future periodic recruitment shall commence. A periodic recruitment will be publicly announced through all standard means including, but not limited to: the NYS Contract Reporter; and OGS website. All OGS Centralized Contracts awarded under the Periodic Recruitment will commence upon OGS approval. All Contracts will co-terminate on the then current end date of the Centralized Contract or at the end of any approved extension or renewal period

  • Non-Recruitment The Executive agrees that the Company has invested substantial time and effort in assembling its present workforce. Accordingly, the Executive covenants and agrees that during the Term and the Post-Termination Period, he shall not, directly or indirectly through any other person or entity, solicit, induce or influence (other than pursuant to general, non-targeted public media advertisements), or attempt to solicit, induce or influence, any employee of the Company to leave his or her employment.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Non-Recruitment of Employees During the Restricted Period, Executive will not, directly or indirectly, solicit, recruit or induce any Employee to (i) terminate his or her employment relationship with the Company or any of its Subsidiaries or (ii) work for any other person or entity engaged in the Business.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.
