Posting and Transfer. A. All vacancies which the employer intends to fill and new positions shall be published in the School Line or by general distribution to all work locations. The School Line and / or vacancy notice shall be posted in all schools and in the Human Resources Office. 1. If the opening occurs after the close of school in June, the opening shall be filled at the summer bidding session. 2. All paraprofessionals shall have the right to attend the summer bidding session. 3. All the openings which occur during the summer shall be posted in a single posting no later than August 1. A copy will be forwarded to the Union. 5. The summer bidding session shall be held no later than August 7 and 15, unless otherwise agreed by the Union and the employer. B. Requests for transfer from eligible employees shall be made in writing to the Human Resources Office within the timeline specified in the posting. If more than one job is posted, employees may bid in priority order on all jobs posted. Appointments shall be made by seniority unless the employee is unable to meet the qualifications for the job requested. C. Any current position for which the employer increases scheduled work hours by one (1) hours or more per day shall be posted unless otherwise agreed by the Union and the employer. 1. Paras who meet the qualifications for employment in other Toledo Public Schools’ non-teaching bargaining units shall be given equal consideration for vacancies with new applicants. 2. Posting and Transfer. (a) In the event new jobs are created or vacancies occur in existing job classifications (unless the Employer notifies the Union in writing that it intends to postpone or not fill a vacancy), the Employer will post such new jobs or vacancies for a period of five (5) working days, and shall stipulate the qualifications, classification, rate and department concerned before new employees are hired, in order to allow employees with seniority to apply. The Employer agrees to provide the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ with a copy of each job posting. The parties agree that an administrative oversight in this regard does not void the job posting. Until the vacancy is filled resulting from the job posting provisions, the Employer is free to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis as he sees fit. Posting and Transfer. When an employee successfully posts into a Special Education Aide classification position, they shall not be eligible to apply for subsequent vacancies for 60 working days or to the end of the school year (whichever comes first) after starting their new position unless doing so to increase hours and/or their hourly wage. The 60 working day period can be waived upon mutual agreement of the employee and district. Posting and Transfer. Whenever a job opening occurs, other than a temporary opening as defined below, in any existing job classification or as the result of the development of a new job classification, a notice of such an opening shall be posted on all Union bulletin boards for five (5) working days and a copy sent to the Union. The notice shall include rate of pay, work schedule, location, classification title, closing date, and minimum qualifications required for the job. Minimum qualifications may include successful testing, lifting requirements, bi-lingual skills and other minimum qualifications mutually agreeable. Employees, who wish to apply for the opening, including employees on layoff from any classification, may do so. The application shall be in writing, and shall be submitted to the person signing the posting. When an employee applies for a posted position and has not removed his/her name by the close of the posting, the employee must accept the position, if offered. The Employer shall fill the opening by selecting from among the applicants the employee with the longest continuous service, provided s (he) meets the minimum qualifications for the opening.
