Secondary Teachers. Rockford Middle Schools, Rockford Freshman Center and Rockford Senior High School teachers’ day shall be seven twenty-five a.m. to two forty p.m. (7:25 – 2:40), with a thirty (30) minute lunch period in the Middle schools, Freshman Center and Senior High schools.
Secondary Teachers. A minimum of five minutes of preparation time shall be provided within the student day for every twenty-five minutes of instruction time. Preparation time shall be provided in one or two uninterrupted blocks during the student day, one of which must be a minimum of 40 minutes, unless modified by mutual consent.
Secondary Teachers. Each secondary teacher’s (middle school and high school) schedule shall include at least one period daily for conferences with students and/or instructional planning. Such conference/planning time shall not be less than two hundred (200) minutes per week. Student passing time between classes is not included as part of a class or planning period.
Secondary Teachers a. A teaching assignment shall be defined as time during the instructional week devoted to teaching courses and lessons, and shall include time assigned to supervise curricular activities, including study periods but not including period changes or breaks.
b. The implementation of this article shall entitle full-time secondary teachers to receive one block of preparation time in each eight (8) block cycle based on the current timetable.
Secondary Teachers. The maximum assignment of subjects for any secondary school teacher shall be five periods in a six-period day or six periods in a seven- or eight-period day. Each teacher shall have one period during the student contact day for preparation and conferences.
Secondary Teachers. Local Bargaining Unit as the regular, sole and exclusive negotiating agent for all teachers comprising its membership.
Secondary Teachers. The class load and schedule shall be reviewed by a committee which shall include the Superintendent, or his designee, principal, teacher and an Association Representative, if the teacher requests. The committee will take into consideration student safety and the quality of instruction in its deliberations.
Secondary Teachers. 1. The total in-school work week for secondary teachers will be thirty- four and one-half (34 1/2) hours, four (4) seven (7) hour days and one (1) six and one-half (6 1/2) hour day, exclusive of lunch and meetings as set forth in Paragraph C.2 below.

Secondary Teachers. (a) A Full-time Teacher shall be assigned duties consisting of six (6) credit/credit- equivalent courses and additional duties, set out as follows:
(i) A maximum of six (6) full periods assigned as supervision so that Teachers will be eligible for their forty (40) consecutive minutes for lunch breaks on the day of supervision. Noon-hour supervision shall be defined as half (1/2) the normal lunch period to a maximum of one day out of each four (4) day cycle. Secondary teachers shall be available to students in their classroom fifteen minutes prior to the first scheduled class of the day and five minutes prior to the first scheduled class in the afternoon. Such time shall not constitute supervision/on-call or instructional time. Any assigned supervision duty during the times as outlined above, such as but not limited to, bus duty, hall duty and / or yard duty shall constitute supervision.
(b) Part-time Teachers shall be pro-rated to that of a Teacher as defined in 11.02 a).
(c) All unassigned instructional time shall be available for teacher preparation and planning time for use at the professional discretion of the Teacher.
