Training and Service. A) The City recognizes that it is not always possible to select by examination process, persons who are fully competent when appointed to perform all the duties of the position to which they may be appointed. The employee shall be given every opportunity to qualify during this probationary period. The Parties recognize that additional training is necessary to maintain necessary skills, to improve one's capabilities, and to acquire new skills. The parties, therefore, agree to continue the Joint Training Committee.

Training and Service. All persons assigned mediation duties should receive formal training in mediation processes. Any person serving on a mediation team may serve on more than one mediation team.

Under no circumstances shall an employee receive two (2) Training and Service Credit payments in a single calendar year. All Training and Service Credit payments shall be made in a separate check on the first non-pay Friday in December of each year.

  • Training and Support Licensor shall offer installation support to the Licensee and each of the Members, including assisting with the implementation of any Licensor software. Licensor will provide appropriate training to Licensee and Member staff relating to the use of the Licensed Materials and any Licensor software. Licensor will offer reasonable levels of continuing support to assist Licensee and Members in use of the Licensed Materials, including providing help files and other appropriate user documentation in connection with the use of and access to Licensed Materials. Licensor will, at a minimum, make its personnel available by email, telephone or via the Web, or in person during Licensor’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, for training and user access support.

Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.
