Unifor Paid Education Leave a) The Employer agrees to pay into a special fund $0.03 per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such monies are to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the Plant Chairperson, Unifor Local 1941, and to the Unifor Leadership training Fund, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.
Unifor Paid Education Leave. (a) The Company agrees to pay into a special fund three (3) cents per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, UNIFOR and sent by the Company to the Unifor Paid Education Leave Program, Unifor, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx XX, X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit, selected by the Union to a maximum of four (4) employees per year to attend such courses, will be granted a leave of absence without pay, for twenty (20) days of class time, plus travel time where necessary, said leaves of absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave.

Such payment will be remitted on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the Unifor National Union effective from the date of ratification. The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, a lump sum amount of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) each year to provide for a Unifor Paid Education Leave (PEL) program. Such payment will be remitted on an annual basis, on April 1st of each year, into a trust fund established by the Unifor National Union effective from the date of ratification. Payments will be sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Paid Education Leave Program 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company shall approve, conditional upon production requirements, Education Leave for the members of a bargaining unit at the request of the Union. Candidates for PEL shall be selected by the Union to attend. The Union will provide written confirmation to the Company of such selection at least four (4) weeks in advance of the leave period. Employees on PEL leave of absence will continue to accrue seniority and service, and the employees’ lost wages will be paid by the PEL program.
Unifor Paid Education Leave. This Article applies only to Unifor members affected by the collective agreement. The Employer agrees to pay into a special fund an amount of one cent ($.01) per hour for all regular hours paid for the regular Employees to provide for a Paid Education Leave (PEL). Such leave will be for upgrading the Employees’ skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such payment will be remitted on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW Unifor, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Employer to the following address; CAW Unifor Paid Education Leave Program, CAW Unifor Family Education Centre, RR#1 CAW Road 25, Xxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0XX. The Employer shall approve Education Leave to the members of the bargaining unit subject to operational requirements. Candidates for PEL shall be selected by the Union Unifor to attend such courses and provide written confirmation to the Employer of such selection. Employees on PEL leave of absence shall continue to accrue seniority. This provision is not applicable to casual Employees.
