Vacation Extension. A Flight Attendant who is scheduled for at least seven (7) consecutive vacation days may elect to place up to a total of four (4) days off (at sole discretion of the Flight Attendant) before, after, or split on either side of such vacation period. The days off will act as a pre-planned absence and will carry neither a value for pay nor credit. Such days off will be counted toward the Reserve’s scheduled Golden Days. Such block of four days, or portion thereof, may be extended into the next bid period. Such election shall be honored unless the PBS program cannot produce a solution honoring such election.

Vacation Extension. An employee on application to the Board shall be granted leave of absence without pay for up to four (4) weeks, to be taken in conjunction with the employee's annual vacation, subject to the following provisions: i) such leave shall not be granted more than once every three (3) years, ii) such leave may be denied when in the opinion of the supervisor, the absence of such employee would impair the efficiency of operations and, iii) the application for such leave shall be made at least thirty (30) days in advance, but this period may be abbreviated in unusual circumstances.
Vacation Extension. Except as otherwise indicated in the Collective Agreement, applications for leaves of absence for the purpose of extending a vacation (without pay) will be adjudicated on the basis of merit, compassion, length of service and the operational needs of the store. Vacation Extension. When a recognized holiday falls during an employee’s vacation period, on a day that the employee would regularly be scheduled to work, the employee shall be granted the next scheduled working day off.
Vacation Extension. Should an employee’s regular vacation period include one (I) or more holidays, by mutual agreement whenever possible, the vacation period will be extended or payment of an extra day’s vacation pay will be processed. If an employee works on a holiday the Employer may grant an employee a substitute day off at his regular rate of pay within a period of thirty (30) days prior to or thirty (30) days subsequent to the holiday concerned. If a substitute day is not granted by the Employer for the holiday when mutually agreed, the Company will pay for the holiday. In selecting employees to work on a paid holiday, the Employer shall consider the efficient operation of the business and seniority. If an employee works on a Statutory Holiday, he shall be paid one and one-half (1 times his regular rate of pay. Any pari-time staff, or full-time employee who has not completed forty-five (45) working days, will be paid time and one-half if they are required to work on a paid holiday. If another holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this agreement, such additional holiday will replace the Employee’s Birthday as a holiday, except in the case of employees with ten or more years seniority.
