Work Week and Workday. The work week shall be from 0001 hours on Sunday through 13 2359 hours on Saturday. The workday is defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period 14 beginning at the time the employee commences work. Nothing in this or any other 15 provision of this Agreement constitutes a minimum guarantee of work.

Work Week and Workday. 27.1 Full-time employees shall have a normal workweek consisting of forty (40) hours of actual work spread over the seven-day work period. Normally, employees will receive an unpaid lunch period of either 30 or 60 minutes as determined by the Xxxx or designee. The lunch period shall be duty free and is subject to scheduling by the College. Work Week and Workday. The regular working hours of employees working other than an afternoon or night shift and who are regularly scheduled, shall consist of not more than 8 hours in 9 consecutive hours beginning between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The beginning times may differ from department to department or from employee to employee within the same department, as determined by the supervisor. Summer hours, at the option of the Executive Director, shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for the period from the first Monday after the first Sunday in April through Labor Day. The lunch period shall be determined under the authority of the individual department supervisor and may vary from department to department; the lunch period may be one-half hour between the 4th and 6th hours from the employee’s starting time. 40 hours shall constitute a normal work week for non-shift workers. Any hours other than these hours will be at overtime or call back rates.

Breaks cannot be accumulated, used in conjunction with the lunch period or used to shorten the work day. 27.5 Employees will be given reasonable notice of changes in work schedules. 27.6 The parties agree issues involving work schedules are appropriate for discussion in the Labor Management Committee. 27.7 If a student does not need a Reader Writer (R/W) during a specific class period, the R/W, in order not to lose pay, will report back to the Disability Resource Center to be available for substitute R/W duty or office work.
Work Week and Workday. A. The standard work week shall consist of forty (40) hours of work at straight time rates of the following schedule: 1. Five (5) Day Work Week: Monday through Friday – five (5) days, eight (8) hours plus half (½) hour unpaid lunch period each day. 2. Make-up days shall be scheduled for a minimum of 8 hours, except in the case of inclement weather in which Section 11.5 shall apply. Make-up days shall not be mandatory, and no discipline shall be taken against employees electing not to work the make-up day. This shall also apply when more than one shift or multiple shifts are worked. B. The Day shift shall commence between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 am and shall end between the hours of 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Starting and quitting times shall occur at the staging areas as may be designated by the Contractor. C. Contractors shall provide not less than five (5) days prior notice to the Local Union involved as to the work week and work hours schedules to be worked or such lesser notice as may be mutually agreed upon. D. The changing of the regular starting time from a 5-day and 4-day work week shall be a 4-week minimum.

On School Improvement Days or Early Dismissal Days except for Secretaries, 10 and 12 month employees all other non-certified employees shall be dismissed at the same time as the students.

  • Weekend Work (1) All ordinary hours of work performed between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME ‌ 15:01 The hours of work shall be eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week, in accordance with the regular shift schedule, provided that this shall not constitute a guarantee of hours of work per day or of days of work per week. Where alternative shifts are implemented the hours of work shall be eighty (80) hours per pay period, in accordance with the regular shift schedule, provided that this shall not constitute a guarantee of hours of work per day or of days of work per week. 15:02 Authorized overtime work performed in excess of the standard work week or the standard work day will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) times the regular hourly rate. In the case of employees working alternative shifts, authorized overtime is work performed in excess of their standard work day or eighty (80) hours per pay period and will be paid at time and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay. 15:03 Overtime work shall be distributed as equitably as practicable amongst employees performing work in the same classification at the same location. For overtime distribution same location means UTM and UTSC autonomously. At the St. Xxxxxx campus, same location means: Southwest area, Southeast area, North area, Central area and Steam Plant autonomously. Employees who are requested to work any overtime and decline shall be considered to have worked for the purpose of establishing records on overtime distribution. Employees who are unavailable to work any overtime because they are on supervisor approved vacation, supervisor approved bereavement, supervisor approved Health & Safety business, supervisor approved University business, or Union release for Union business shall not be considered to have worked for the purpose of establishing records on overtime distribution. An overtime list will be updated and posted weekly in each area. 15:04 All engineers who work on a regularly scheduled short shift change with less than two (2) shifts of rest in a twenty-four (24) hour period between a change in shift shall be paid at regular overtime rates for all hours worked from the commencement of the second shift. This clause shall not apply where an employee has received payment for said hours under clauses 15:02, 15:05, or 15:07. Where alternative shifts are implemented this will not apply. 15:05 All employees shall be allowed thirty (30) minutes without pay at a time designated by the Employer for a lunch period. Employees will be available for emergency work during their lunch period. 15:06 Any employee who has completed their regular shift and is recalled to work shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at the overtime rate or the number of hours worked, whichever is greater. A recall is defined as a return to work, which begins outside the regularly scheduled shift. 15:07 Work schedules will be provided with consecutive days off unless circumstances arise which are beyond the Employer’s control. 15:08 An employee who has completed their regular shift and is contacted outside of the workplace by an authorized person about business matters concerning the plant shall be paid one and one-half (1½) hours pay for each such matter, provided they are not required to report for duty on a recall or provided they are not required to report on the job site. 15:09 With the consent of the Supervisor or Chief Engineer, an employee may have another employee relieve them on their regular shift. In such cases, however, overtime will not be paid to the relieving employee.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
