Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. An employee prevented from performing their regular work with the Board on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by the Workers' Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Act, shall upon request receive from the Board the difference between the amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board and their regular salary. Such difference shall be deducted from the employee's accumulated sick leave, provided the employee has such benefits to their credit. Should the employee have no sick leave to their credit, then the employee shall be entitled only to the amount paid by the Workers' Compensation Board.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. An employee prevented from performing the employee’s regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board as compensable within the meaning of the Compensation Act, shall receive from the Employer the difference between the amount payable by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board and the employee’s regular salary, up to six (6) months.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement a) Where an employee is absent from work for medical reasons with respect to a workplace injury that occurred while fulfilling duties in the course of employment with this Employer, and the employee is eligible for compensation payable pursuant to The Workers’ Compensation Act, the Employer shall pay to the employee their regular salary by accessing available sick leave in addition to the Worker’s Compensation Board payments.
a) When sick leave entitlements are no longer available, the Employer shall advise the Workers’ Compensation Board to have all future payments made directly to the employee.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. A full-time employee prevented from performing his/her regular work with the Employer, on account of an occupational accident is covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive from the Employer the difference between the amount payable by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board the rate of pay of his/her classification. The difference shall be paid out of the employees accumulated sick leave credits.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. (a) An employee prevented from performing his/her regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Workers‟ Compensation Act, shall receive compensation in accordance with the applicable legislation.
(b) While off waiting for the approval of a claim submitted to the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission an employee will continue to receive his/her pay at the salary level calculated as if the claim was approved providing the Employer is holding sufficient assets of the employee. Should the claim be denied from the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, the Employer shall recover the monies paid out through deduction from the employee‟s sick leave bank. In the event this bank has been depleted, the Employer may recover this amount through any outstanding payment due to the employee.
(c) It is understood and agreed by the parties to this Collective Agreement that an employee retains and continues to accumulate sick leave credits while off work and in receipt of benefits other than EEL from the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission.
(d) It is understood and agreed by the parties to this Collective Agreement that an employee retains and continues to accumulate annual vacation credits and shall have the right to carry forward one (1) year‟s vacation entitlement from one year to the next while off work and in receipt of benefits from the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission other than extended earnings loss.
(e) It is understood and agreed by the parties to this Collective Agreement that an employee who is approved for full extended earnings loss (EEL) benefits from the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission after the date of signing of this agreement shall no longer accumulate benefits under this agreement but shall have their position with the employer protected for two (2) calendar years following the date of such approval, immediately following which their employment shall be terminated.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. If an employee is prevented from performing their regular work with the Home on account of an occupational accident associated with their employment with the Home, and this accident is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as compensable within the meaning of the Act, the Home will on request, supplement the award made by the Insurance Board for loss of wages. This supplement will equal one hundred percent (100%) of the employee’s regular pay cheque in effect at the time of illness or injury (exclusive of any overtime, etc.) and the employee’s sick leave credits will be reduced proportionately. This will be effected when the Home receives the employee’s copy of Form 102 from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. When the application for compensation is made, the employee shall advise whether or not she wishes they wish to accept the Home supplement. Any payments so made by the Home shall cease when the accumulated sick leave has been exhausted.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. (a) Permanent Employees prevented from performing their work on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by the Workers Compensation Board as compensable shall receive from the Employer his full salary for a maximum of twelve (12) months. After twelve (12) months, the Employee shall receive the compensation amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board.
(b) Temporary/Casual Employees shall receive compensation directly from Workers Compensation Board, and no payment of wages will be provided by the City of Camrose. Duration and term of payment will be determined as per Workers Compensation guidelines.
(c) The City of Cannrose is committed to assisting a return to work for all workers who have been injured throughout the regular course of their employment, to their full capacities. In order to achieve our objectives of maintaining healthy meaningful job tasks, we have created a Return to Work program.

Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. (a) An employee shall accumulate seniority during absences in which he receives Workers’ Compensation payments. All employee benefits as in Article 20.00 (Employee Benefits) shall continue during the first three (3) months of such absence and the Employer’s share of premiums shall continue for the first three (3) months. Thereafter, the employee may continue to be covered by paying the Employer’s share of such premium.
(b) An employee who is no longer deemed to have a compensable injury shall be placed in his former or equivalent position with the Employer provided he supplies a medical certificate certifying that he is physically able to perform the available work.
Workers’ Compensation Pay Supplement. All Employees shall be covered by the Workers Compensation Act. An Employee prevented from performing their regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational accident, that is covered by the Workers Compensation Act shall receive leave without pay for the period the Employee receives Workers Compensation benefits. During said period, the Employee shall continue to accrue sick leave and vacation benefits.
