Working on Holidays. Authorized work performed on a holiday or during the holiday period as defined in Article 10.1 and Article 10.2 (or on the day designated as such under Article 10.4) shall be paid at time and one-half for all hours worked. In addition, the employee shall be entitled to holiday pay in accordance with Article 10.1 and Article 10.2 and subject to Article 10.3.
Working on Holidays. Employees who are required to work on a holiday shall be eligible for compensatory time, per Article 27.
Working on Holidays. If an employee is required to work on the observed holiday, the employee will be paid time and one-half for the hours worked, in addition to holiday pay for the normal number of hours they are scheduled to work.
Working on Holidays. 1. Any worker whose job is operating on a day of holiday observance can be required to work on that day.
2. The University may fill any additional operational needs in accordance with the provisions for assignment of overtime work as specified in Article 7 (Hours, Schedules and Premium Pay.)
Working on Holidays. If an employee is assigned and works on a holiday, he/she shall be paid at the regular rate for hours worked and receives Holiday pay as well.
Working on Holidays. An employee may be directed to work on a holiday or may request advance approval from the immediate supervisor to voluntarily work on a holiday. Any work on a day that is defined as a paid holiday by Section 84-1001 R.R.S. shall will be compensated for by granting the employee compensatory time off or by paying the employee. Nonexempt employees shall will be compensated per Section 8.2E. Exempt employees shall will be compensated at straight time. The method of compensation for the holiday worked shall will be at the discretion of the Agency. If compensatory time off is granted, the employee shall will determine when such time shall will be taken, subject to Section 8.2B.
Working on Holidays. Holiday situations are as follows:
6.2.1.1. For employees working on an observed holiday, the observed holiday shall be considered the holiday.
6.2.1.2. For employees working on an actual holiday but not the observed holiday, the actual holiday shall be considered the holiday.
6.2.1.3. For employees working on both the actual holiday and the observed holiday, only the actual holiday shall be considered a holiday.
Working on Holidays. Employees working on a paid holiday shall receive double time and one-half for work performed on a listed holiday. The parties understand that this amount reflects time and one-half (1 ½) holiday pay for actual hours worked, added to regular pay.
Working on Holidays a) An employee who is regularly scheduled to work his/her normal hours of work on a Paid Holiday as listed in Section 27.01 and 27.02, shall be paid time and one-half (1 2) for all hours worked. In addition, such employee shall be granted another day off with pay continuous with the employee's annual vacation, or at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the Employer.
b) Should the Employer call out any employee to work on a Paid Holiday during hours which would be normally considered normal hours of work should a Paid Holiday not have occurred, he/she shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at time and one-half (1 2) for three (3) hours of work or less and in addition shall receive a normal day's pay as provided in this Article.
c) Should the Employer call out any employee to work on a Paid Holiday during hours which would be normally considered outside normal hours of work, he/she shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at double (2x) time for three (3) hours of work or less with no time off in lieu.
Working on Holidays. When it is impracticable to give time off to employees regularly scheduled to work on any of the previously mentioned official State holidays because of the necessity of continuing essential service, the Employer may require employees to remain on duty and to perform their assigned work. The employee who has worked on a holiday shall be granted equal compensatory time off from duty at the time(s) the Employer shall designate or, at the discretion of the Employer, the employee may receive straight-time cash compensation, providing the actual time worked does not fall within the definition of overtime to be paid at the rate of time and one-half as provided for by the Code of State Regulations.
