Workweek and Timekeeping Interval. ‌ 10.1 Workweek‌ The regular workweek for most employees covered by this document shall be forty (40) hours for a seven (7) day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. each Sunday and consists of four (4) days a week and ten (10) hours per day. Daily hours of work or shifts for employees within departments shall be assigned by the department head, as required to meet the needs of the department. 10.1.1 Attached to this MOU are work schedules which shall be used when there are both nine Dispatchers employed and ten Dispatchers employed by the City. These work schedules are incorporated into this MOU and are part of this MOU as Exhibit B. The effective date of these attached work schedules was May 25, 2014. 10.1.2 The parties agree that Dispatchers have adopted alternate schedules, including a 3/12.5 schedule. For the Dispatchers who are scheduled to work a 3/12.5 work schedule, their FLSA workweek shall begin at exactly the half way point of their shift on the day of the week on which their Supplemental Shift occurs. Thus, for example, for employees scheduled for a Supplemental Shift of 1O hours, their FLSA workweek (which shall be used to determine the overtime they receive for working more than 40 hours in a week) shall begin five (5) hours after the start time of their scheduled Supplemental Shift. This shall be their FLSA workweek used to calculate overtime compensation for each workweek regardless of whether there is a Supplemental Shift during the workweek. Shift selection will be based on seniority. 10.1.3 Employees scheduled to work a 3/12.5 work schedule will have a Supplemental Shift which will occur every other pay period. 10.1.3.1 In the pay period in which no Supplemental Shift occurs, the employee will be scheduled to work 37.5 hours per FLSA workweek (three 12.5 hour shifts). In this pay period of two FLSA workweeks, employees will have the choice to use two and one-half hours of vacation or compensatory time so that their regularly scheduled hours of 37.5 hours when combined with the additional two and one half hours of leave will result in the employee getting paid 40 hours each workweek of the pay period. If the employee chooses to use two and one half hours of leave in either of these workweeks, and the employee works any additional hours outside their regularly scheduled 37.5 hours, all additional hours worked will be paid at time and one half the employee's regular rate of pay. Workweek and Timekeeping Interval. ‌ 10.1 Workweek‌ The regular workweek for all employees covered by this document shall be forty (40) hours for a seven (7) day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. each Sunday and shall consist of four (4) consecutive days a week and ten (10) hours per day. Within certain departments there exists a compelling need for certain employees to work a five (5) day forty (40) hour week. Upon a clear showing of need and with the affected employees consent, the department head may schedule employees accordingly. Daily hours of work or shifts for employees within departments shall be assigned by the department head, as required to meet the needs of the department. 10.1.1 Notwithstanding 8.1.9, the City may maintain a five, eight- hour days per week schedule for employees currently assigned to such a schedule. Further, the City may assign a five, eight-hour per week schedule to employees preferring to work such a schedule. 10.1.2 Employees required to work a 5/8 schedule due to City operational needs, may be eligible for an additional 8 hours of floating holiday time if the department Director with City Manager approval chooses to close the department the day after a designated holiday and it is one of the employees scheduled work days. For example, the library is traditionally closed on Thanksgiving Day, a City designated holiday. The Director may choose with City Manager approval to close the library on the following Friday. If an employee’s regularly scheduled shift would require them to work the Friday, the employee will receive 8 hours of floating holiday pay for that day. Employees choosing to work a M-F schedule are not eligible for the extra floating holiday. 10.2 Workday‌ Except as provided in 8.1.1, the workday will consist of ten and one half (10½) hours with one-half (½) hour for lunch and 40 minutes of breaks to be scheduled in light of the departmental policy. The City reserves the right to determine the beginning and ending times of the workday.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.

  • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • DELIVERY: FOB DESTINATION, INSIDE DELIVERY, FREIGHT PAID Whenever possible, contractors should give the ordering entities 3 working days prior notice of any deliveries and/or installations. Furniture contractors will not be responsible for the removal/moving of existing furnishings unless requested by the ordering entity. Contractors should verify site readiness prior to delivery. All deliveries will be made during normal working hours unless otherwise arranged with the ordering entity. Contractor will communicate any scheduling delays and/or changes immediately. Agencies will not be responsible for any freight damage, concealed or otherwise.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Mileage Measurement Where required, the mileage measurement for LIS rate elements is determined in the same manner as the mileage measurement for V&H methodology as outlined in NECA Tariff No. 4.

  • Check Meters Developer, at its option and expense, may install and operate, on its premises and on its side of the Point of Interconnection, one or more check meters to check Connecting Transmission Owner’s meters. Such check meters shall be for check purposes only and shall not be used for the measurement of power flows for purposes of this Agreement, except as provided in Article 7.4 below. The check meters shall be subject at all reasonable times to inspection and examination by Connecting Transmission Owner or its designee. The installation, operation and maintenance thereof shall be performed entirely by Developer in accordance with Good Utility Practice.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Wage Scales All workers covered by this Agreement shall be classified and paid in accordance with the classification and wage scales as attached as Appendices "A" and forming part of this Agreement.
