XXXX Deduction. Upon receipt of a voluntary authorization in writing by a teacher, the Board shall deduct from the teacher’s salary the amount authorized by the teacher for the Lake County Federation of Teachers Committee on Political Education (COPE). Such deduction shall be made the last paycheck in October and forwarded to the Treasurer of the Union not more than fourteen (14) days after such deductions were made along with the amount deducted for each teacher. The Union shall defend and hold the Board harmless for any action properly performed pursuant to this Section. Union dues and COPE deductions shall be mailed in separate checks.
XXXX Deduction. The Board agrees to honor contribution deduction authorization from its teachers in the following form (or reasonable likeness): I hereby authorize the Board of Education to deduct from my salary, during the last pay period in October only, the sum of $ and to forward that amount to the Lake County Federation of Teachers, Committee on Political Education (COPE). This authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked by me in writing prior to October 1 of any school year, or upon termination of my employment. This authorization is voluntarily made on the specific understanding that the signing of this authorization and the making of payment to the COPE are not conditions of membership in the Union or of employment with the District.
XXXX Deduction. Any bargaining unit member who wishes to contribute to COPE, the RFT political action arm, may do so through payroll deduction by notifying the Superintendent in writing.
XXXX Deduction. The Employer, upon written authorization from the Employee, will deduct voluntary contributions to the Union’s COPE fund from the Employee’s monthly paychecks. The amount to be deducted shall be that amount designated by the Employee in a voluntary written authorization. This amount is to be a continuing monthly deduction until such time as the Employee requests cancellation of the COPE deduction in writing. An Employee whose status is temporarily discontinued (excluding summer term), shall, upon return, complete a new COPE authorization form. The sum of all monies so deducted shall be remitted to the Union in the month following the deduction, together with a list of employees from whom the voluntary contributions were deducted and the amount deducted from each.
XXXX Deduction. 2/2/8 Employees may authorize, by separate written order, a COPE deduction. The specified amount of the deduction will appear on a form provided by the Union. Once annually, employees may change the amount of their COPE deduction. Employees paid by central payroll of the Department of Administration will designate a whole dollar amount of COPE deduction on the Union form.
XXXX Deduction. The Board, upon the receipt of a written authorization from an employee, shall deduct the authorized amount of an employee’s voluntary contribution to the North Suburban Teachers Union's Committee on Political Education (COPE) from his/her pay. This contribution shall be deducted from the last paycheck in October and forwarded to the Union no more than ten (10) working days after the payday for which such deduction is made.

XXXX Deduction. Subject to the payroll practices and limitation of the State, deductions shall be made by the State from a Provider’s paycheck to the SEIU Cope Fund, provided that the Union has on file a voluntarily signed revocable authorization card from the Provider that has not been revoked. The Union shall be solely responsible for payment to the State regarding any and all expenses related to the administration of this deduction, as required by the State.
XXXX Deduction. Prior to October 1 of each school year the Union may submit to the Board a list of bargaining unit members covered by the Agreement who have previously submitted written authorization cards which have not been revoked authorizing the teacher's voluntary contribution to the North Suburban Teachers Union's Committee on Political Education (COPE). The list shall be alphabetized, shall list the bargaining unit member's social security number, and shall set forth the aggregate amount to be deducted from all members on the list. The Board, upon the timely receipt of said list, shall deduct the authorized amount from the member's pay as a one-time deduction and remit such deduction to the North Suburban Teachers Union's Committee on Political Education (COPE). The Union accepts all liability with. respect to the accuracy of the listing of members and other required data submitted to the School District. The authorization cards which shall be maintained by the Union and made available to the Board upon reasonable request, shall be in the following form: I hereby authorize the Board of Education to deduct from my salary, during the last pay period in October only, the sum of $ and to forward that amount to the North Suburban Teachers Union's Committee on Political Education (COPE). The Union will defend and hold the Board harmless from all claims and liability related to any action properly performed by the Board pursuant to this Section. Union dues and COPE deductions will be mailed in separate checks.
