Standing Down of Employees. Notwithstanding anything elsewhere contained in this clause the employer shall have the right to deduct payment for any day the employee cannot be usefully employed because of any strike or any stoppage of work by any clause.

Standing Down of Employees. Standing Down of Employees. (1) (a) The Company is entitled to deduct payment for any day or part of a day on which an employee (including an apprentice) cannot be usefully employed because of industrial action by any employee(s).

The employer may deduct payment for any day the employee may not be usefully employed due to strike action, breakdown of machinery or any stoppage of work for any cause for which the employer cannot be reasonably held responsible. The stand-down period will not break continuity of service and access may be available to annual leave entitlements with the approval of the employer.

The Company will only implement this provision as a measure of last resort.
Standing Down of Employees. 25.1. The right of the Company to stand down an Employee shall be in accordance with section 524 of the FW Act.
