Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. Leaves of absence without deduction of pay and with reimbursement of certain approved expenses shall be granted to teachers to attend professional meetings or visit other schools upon written request to the Superintendent (pending approval). As needed, the District shall provide substitute certificated teachers to perform the duties of teachers who have been granted leave to attend professional meetings.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. (a) Leaves of absence without deduction of pay with reimbursement of certain expenses may be granted to attend professional meetings upon written request to the Superintendent.
(b) The District shall provide substitute teachers to perform the duties of teachers who have been granted release time to attend professional meetings.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. When an employee seeks and gains District authorization to represent the District at professional conferences, meetings, workshops, symposia and seminars, substitute's necessary expense shall be paid by the District.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. A. Meetings, conferences, symposiums and seminars at which concerns vital to the profession are the subject of discussions are recognized by the District as an inherent part of the employee’s professional obligation.
X. Xxxx leaves may be granted upon request to the Superintendent on one of the following basis:
1. Full Payment Leave. Substitute and necessary expenses paid by the District. This category applies to employees authorized by the Superintendent to represent the District at professional conferences, symposiums and seminars.
2. Partial Payment Leave:
a. Substitute paid by the District; necessary expenses paid by the employee or outside agency. This category applies to employees authorized by the Superintendent to represent the District in cooperation with outside agencies at conferences, meetings, symposiums and seminars;
b. Substitute provided by the District; no expenses paid by the District. This category applies to employees who desire to attend professional meetings or conferences or visit other schools or school systems for the purpose of improving instruction.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. Determined by program need and within budget parameters, attendance at professional conferences and meetings may be granted upon written request to the Superintendent, or supervisor. Such attendance at professional meetings and conferences shall include the following:
1. Full Payment: Substitute and necessary expenses paid by the District. This category applies to employees representing the District at professional conferences, meetings, symposiums and seminars.
2. Partial Payment: Substitute paid by the District with necessary expenses paid by the District or outside agency. This category applies to Employees in cooperation with outside agencies at conferences, meetings, symposiums and seminars.
3. Zero payment: Substitute is paid by the Association for conferences, meetings, symposiums and seminars. Day(s) shall not be deducted from Release Time for the Association.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. Employees who attend approved curriculum conferences and professional meetings shall be entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses, registration fees, meals, lodging, and necessary expenses in accordance with District policy. Requests for approval shall be submitted to the Superintendent through the employee's supervisor. The employee shall suffer no loss of pay.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. Employees who are authorized in advance by the Board or its designee to attend meetings, conferences, symposiums and seminars, as a district representative, shall be afforded leave for attendance thereat, with no loss of pay and the District shall reimburse said employee for actual travel expenses incurred at the current Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rate per mile.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. Upon written request to and approval by the superintendent or Human Resources director, employees shall be released for attendance at professional meetings (i.e., workshops, seminars, symposiums, training sessions, conferences, meetings) except those pertaining to Association-related business, unless provided for in this Agreement. Travel and per diem expenses (i.e., lodging, meals, travel, materials and registration fees) may also be granted as requested in the written request. Attendance at such approved meetings shall be with no loss of pay and the District shall provide substitute teachers as it deems necessary.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. A. Permission may be granted to certificated employees to attend conferences, meetings or conventions or to travel outside the District for other educational purposes when it is deemed such travel will benefit the educational program of the District.
B. Meals, lodging, and other expenses will be reimbursed at the rate established by the District. Mileage may be reimbursed at the set rate of District reimbursement.
Attendance at Meetings and Conferences. All requests by employees to attend meetings and conferences or to visit other schools may be granted to employees upon written request to the Superintendent. Such leaves shall be granted without deduction of pay and with reimbursement of approved expenses. When necessary, the District shall provide substitute teachers to perform the duties of employees who have been granted leave to attend professional meetings.
