Benefits While on Leave of Absence. A maximum of one (1) year of seniority may be accrued while on an approved leave of absence, along with full longevity benefits. Holidays, vacation and sick leave benefits shall not accrue during an approved leave of absence without pay.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence a. The Board shall pay the total premium cost of benefit plans of persons receiving disability benefits from either the Salary Indemnity Plan: Short Term or the Salary Indemnity Plan: Long Term.
b. Teachers on leave of absence shall have the option to continue their benefits plans by making payments to the Board for both their share and the Board’s share of the premiums of their benefits plans. Such payments to the Board must be made annually, in advance, by September 30.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence a. Benefit coverage, as provided for in this Agreement, shall continue for employees on short term maternity leave and short term parental leave.
b. Unpaid leaves of absence in excess of one (1) month including leaves while employees are on a BCTF Salary Indemnity Plan (other than leaves covered by Article B.11.15.a) shall be without benefits; except that the employees may elect to continue their benefits on the condition that the Board is reimbursed the total cost of the benefits. (Exception on dental according to Article B.11.12.)
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. 1. Provided the Teacher pays the appropriate share of the premium costs, the District will continue to pay its share of the cost of benefit premiums during the period:
a. a Teacher is absent on sick leave;
b. a Teacher is absent on pregnancy leave;
c. a Teacher is absent on medical leave and in receipt of B.C.T.F. Salary Indemnity Plan (short term); d. a Teacher is absent on medical leave and in receipt of B.C.T.F. Salary Indemnity Plan (long term) to a maximum of one (1) year; and
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. During the period of any approved unpaid leave of absence granted under Article 16.5, the Employer will not contribute to the benefit plans on behalf of the employee for the entire period of the leave. Subject to the terms of the benefit plans, the employee may fully fund such contributions (including any portion that would otherwise be paid by the Employer) on his or her own, if the employee chooses to continue the benefits during the leave.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. Insurance benefits are not available to employees on leaves of absence without pay, but continuing participation shall be allowed by prepayment of premiums by the employee as allowed under the rules and regulations of SEBB and the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA).
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. The City shall provide to any employee who is on a leave of absence of thirty (30) days or less, the same premium payments on health, dental and life insurance available to such employee while actively employed. No other benefits shall accrue during any leave of absence.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. All benefits other than such covered under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) will continue from the date of the start of unpaid leave, through the end of the following month in calendar days. For example, if the unpaid leave begins on April 15th, then all benefits will continue through the end of May.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. During the period of any approved leave of absence exceeding thirty (30) days granted under this Article excluding approved disability leave and lay-off, the Employer will not contribute to the benefit plans on behalf of the employee for the entire period of leave. Subject to the terms of the benefits plans, the employee shall fully fund such contributions (including any portion that would otherwise be paid by the Employer) on his own, if the employee chooses to continue the benefits during the leave.
Benefits While on Leave of Absence. When leave is for thirty (30) calendar days or less, employees shall be entitled to earn all benefits of this Part, excepting designated holidays.
