Longevity Benefits. All eligible Fire Department employees shall be entitled to longevity benefits according to the following schedule for the total service in the City of Chillicothe: Five years, but less than ten years of service $800.00 Ten years, but less than fifteen years of service $950.00 Fifteen years, but less than twenty years of service $1,100.00 Twenty years, but less than twenty-five years of service $1,250.00 Twenty-five or more years of service $1,400.00 Longevity benefit qualifications shall begin on the anniversary date of the employment with the city and shall be payable December 1 of each year. However, if an employee’s anniversary date falls in the month of December and provided there is no reason to anticipate he shall not complete the month’s work, he shall also be paid longevity benefits on December 1 as long as years of service will be satisfied as of his December anniversary date.
Longevity Benefits. 1. Reference sub-section D of Section 4-72 of the Administrative Code. Each full time permanent employee in Grades 2 through 9 shall receive longevity compensation, in addition to their salary in accordance with the following schedule: 5-10 years of service 3 percent 10-15 years of service 6 percent 15-20 years of service 8 percent 20 or more years of service 10 percent
2. Longevity shall be in addition to salary and not restricted by the Salary and Wage Ordinance.
3. Any employee hired after January 1, 1977 shall not be eligible for longevity benefits.
Longevity Benefits. As increment of 3% of salary for a 12‐month, eight hours per‐day, full‐time employee at the end of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years respectively, of satisfacotry service shall be added to the employee's annual salary. The longevity increment for those employees employed less than 12 months or less than eight hours per day will be prorated in accordance with the number of months and hours of regular employment.
Longevity Benefits. 19.01 The Employer shall provide longevity benefits for eligible employees who work a minimum of 80 hours per month. The longevity pay benefits are based upon the length of continuous
19.02 The longevity benefits shall be calculated annually and shall be paid on the first pay period in the month of December of each year in a pay check separate from the regular paycheck. The longevity benefits shall not be considered when calculating the rate of pay for any overtime hours or paid legal holidays worked.
19.03 The continuous service record of an eligible employee shall be determined by using the date on which the employee was last hired by the Employer. Further, any eligible employee who leaves the employment of the Employer for any other reason than a granted leave of absence, earned sick leave or duty in the Armed Services, shall be considered to have broken his continu- ous service record. If such employee is later rehired by the Employer, a new continuous service record shall begin as of the day of the hiring.
19.04 Any eligible employee who fails to work a minimum of eighty (80) hours in any given month for any reason other than a granted leave of absence, earned sick leave, or leave while receiving disability insurance payments or while on a work-related injury associated with Workers Compensation, shall be deemed to have forfeited his longevity pay for that month.
19.05 Any eligible employee who should separate employment with the employer shall receive the amount of longevity payment for the amount of the accruement to the time of separation with the employer, based on his previous service record.
Longevity Benefits. For purposes of calculating longevity benefits and vacation accrual, credit for previous public service time (i.e. city, county, state or any other political subdivision) shall be combined with City of Chillicothe service time to determine total benefit.
Longevity Benefits. An increment of $3,528 for a 12 month, 8 hours per day full-time employee at the end of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years in the District shall be added to the employee's annual salary. Longevity Benefits. Section 1. All members who have been employed with the City on a regular, continuous basis in a budgeted position for a minimum of five years or have completed their fifth year of employment by the end of the calendar year and who are employed on December 1 are eligible to receive the 1% Longevity Pay Bonus. The 1% Longevity Pay Bonus is a one-time payment each year at the rate of 1% of December 1 annual base salary. Any member not in pay status on December 1 will receive the benefit upon returning to pay status.
Section 2. Members hired prior to November 16, 1997 who have served the City on a regular and continuous basis with satisfactory performance for a minimum of ten (10) years of service on a full-time basis are eligible to receive Longevity Merit Pay. Members shall be eligible to receive 2½% Longevity Merit Pay at the rate of their annual base salary upon completion of their 10th year of service, and an additional 2½% of their annual base salary upon completion of their 15th year of service, and an additional 2½% of their annual base salary upon completion of their 20th year of service. Longevity Merit Pay is not automatic and shall require a satisfactory or above evaluation and the recommendation of the immediate supervisor and Chief of Police. In the event an employee is not recommended for a Longevity Merit Pay increase, the employee shall be eligible for reconsideration twelve (12) months subsequent to his/her eligible date.
Section 3. Members hired subsequent to November 15, 1997 who have served the City on a regular and continuous basis with satisfactory performance for a minimum of ten (10) years of service on a full-time basis are eligible to receive an annual Longevity Lump Sum Bonus. Members will receive a cash Lump Sum Bonus on or about their hire anniversary date beginning with the 10th year hire anniversary as follows: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 yrs. $500 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 yrs. $1,000 20 plus years $1,500 Members not in pay status on their hire anniversary date will receive the benefit upon returning to pay status. Members who terminate from City employment prior to their hire anniversary date will not be entitled to receive the Longevity Lump Sum Bonus.
Longevity Benefits. This Article was deleted in its entirety as it is no longer applicable to active or future employees.
