Civil Air Patrol Leave. Except as otherwise provided by law, unpaid time off for a member of the Civil Air Patrol to participate in an emergency operational mission, limited to three days per operation and 10 days per calendar year (Labor Code §1503(a)).

Civil Air Patrol Leave. An employee may take up to 10 days of unpaid leave per calendar year, beyond any leave otherwise available to the employee, to respond to an emergency operational mission of the California Civil Air Patrol, provided that the employee has been employed by the district for at least a 90-day period immediately preceding the leave. Such leaves shall not exceed three days for a single mission, unless an extension is granted by the governmental entity authorizing the mission and is approved by the Superintendent or designee. (Labor Code 1501, 1503) The employee shall give the district as much advance notice as possible of the intended dates of the leave. The Superintendent or designee may require certification from the proper Civil Air Patrol authority to verify the eligibility of the employee for the leave and may deny the leave if the employee fails to provide the required certification. Civil Air Patrol Leave. Employees who are volunteer members of the California Wing of the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force (Civil Air Patrol) shall be granted Civil Air Patrol Leave in accordance with California law.
Civil Air Patrol Leave. Any employee who is a member of Civil Air Patrol and has qualified for a Civil Air Patrol emergency service specialty or who is certified to fly counternarcotic missions shall be granted unpaid leave to perform Civil Air Patrol emergency service duty or counternarcotic missions without loss of time, regular leave or any other rights or benefits in accordance with law. The leave is limited to 15 working days in any calendar year, but is unlimited when responding to a state or nationally declared emergency in Missouri. The district may request that the employee be exempted from responding to a specific mission. Coast Guard Auxiliary Leave Employees who are members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be granted an unpaid leave of absence for periods during which they are engaged in the performance of United States Coast Guard or United States Coast Guard Auxiliary duties, including travel related to such duties, when authorized by the director of auxiliary or other appropriate United States Coast Guard Authority.   • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.
