Coaching Positions Clause Samples
The "Coaching Positions" clause defines the roles, responsibilities, and terms of employment for individuals serving as coaches within an organization or institution. It typically outlines which positions are considered coaching roles, the process for appointment or removal, and any specific requirements or expectations tied to these positions, such as certifications or reporting structures. By clearly delineating these aspects, the clause ensures clarity in staffing, helps manage expectations for both the employer and coaches, and reduces the risk of disputes regarding job duties or employment status.
Coaching Positions. The only people that are allowed behind the score line are the Coach or Assistant Coach or Manager. A Coach may position themselves at the end of a field. If they are at the end of the field they must remain at least five metres behind the dead ball line. Where a fence, spectator line or advertising signage prevents this they must remain behind the fence or advertising signage. Any Coaching/Management staff at the end of a playing field cannot issue any verbal or physical commands directly to the team they are observing and can only communicate to the team or other coaching/management staff in the interchange area by returning to the interchange area or by use of electronic communication equipment. Any person found to be disregarding this tournament rule will be asked to return to the interchange area. Coaches are reminded that they are under the jurisdiction of the Tournament Conditions, NSWTA Officials and the referees regardless of being either in the interchange area or at the end of the field. Failure to comply with this will result in individuals being asked to leave the venue for the duration of the game and may result in further action.
Coaching Positions. 1. All coaching positions are extra pay positions and therefore shall be processed by Human Resources in the same manner as all other extra pay positions.
2. Athletic coaches will report and initiate practice on the official opening date established by the Missouri State High School Activities Association. Coaches initiating practice after the established opening date will receive decreased compensation in proportion to the number of days worked.
3. Each coach in a particular sport/activity must maintain active coaching status until the school’s last contest of the sport/activity. Failure to maintain active coaching status through the final contest of the sport/activity will result in decreased compensation in proportion to the number of days not worked.
Coaching Positions. 1. The District shall annually review and determine the number of paid coaching positions which will be available each school year. The number of paid coaches for a sport shall depend upon the number of student athletes participating in that sport and available funding. Prior to final determination, the Association and coaches may review the District’s information and give its recommendations regarding the number of paid coaching positions for each school year.
2. When a coaching vacancy exists, the District shall seek to fill the position, giving the first preference to qualified staff members. When no qualified applicant from the staff is available, the District may select and contract with a non-bargaining unit member to fill the position.
3. Each high school team shall have at least one coach.
4. The coach for each sport may send requests for additional coaches and/or assistant coaches to the Athletic Director and Superintendent or designee. The Superintendent or designee may grant or deny the request.
Coaching Positions. The coach organizes, improvises, plans, selects, determines, encourages, and directs in an open arena, and is constantly subject to observation and informal evaluation by the school and community. With these working conditions and pressures, it is incumbent on the coach to have appropriate qualifications. The selection process should be sophisticated enough to provide the best possible candidate to fill a coaching position. To that end, a coach shall: • Demonstrate professional involvement, including WIAA coaching standard requirements. • Hold a valid First Aid/CPR card or is enrolled in and willing to complete a class to update and hold a valid First Aid/CPR card. Any exceptions to this job requirement must be approved by the Deputy Superintendent.
