Community Education. LPHA must work with CBOs and other partners to provide culturally and linguistically responsive community outreach and education related to COVID-19.
Community Education. A community education course is defined as any course offered by the College at its sole option, without the need for approval by the B.C. Ministry of Advanced Education, Training and Technology. Such courses are offered on a cost recovery basis, with separate pay scales for instruction. Such work is not covered by this Collective Agreement. At the request of the Union, the Employer and Union shall meet to determine whether specific courses rightfully belong to community education. Faculty may teach community education courses, provided this does not conflict with a normal teaching assignment. Faculty will not be assigned community education courses as part of a teaching assignment except by mutual agreement, and shall retain the normal salaries and benefits set out in this Agreement.
Community Education. A. Contractor will support prevention and system access through community education programs provided to schools, and community groups. Contractor shall lead or participate in such programs working collaboratively with MVEMSA, other public safety and EMS-related groups.
B. Contractor shall:
1. Annually participate in definitive community education programs, including:
a. Support pilot program educating medical clinics and Skilled Nursing Facilities (“SNF”) on accessing and efficient use of 9-1-1, and collaborate with stakeholders for possible facility expansion;
b. Chest Pain Awareness, Hands‐Only CPR, and Stop the Bleed initiatives;
c. Stroke Awareness;
d. Every 15 Minutes/DUI Awareness;
e. Fall Prevention;
f. National Night Out neighborhood awareness;
x. Xxxxxxxxxx County Safe Kids Coalition; and
Community Education. Bargaining unit employees who attend classes offered by Minneapolis Public Schools Community Education in which ten (10) participants are already enrolled may do so at one-half (½) tuition cost provided that the first two (2) bargaining unit employees who enroll may attend at no cost. This provision is not subject to the grievance process.
Community Education. Provide interactive community education to the public on Medicare, long-term care planning, private health and long-term care insurance, managed care, and related health care coverage plans.
Community Education i. Effective July 1, 1999, any employee on a temporary contract who is employed either part-time or full-time shall be made a continuing employee at the latest after two (2) years.
Community Education. To provide in-service training, consultation and information to facility staff, resident councils, community groups, families and individuals regarding long-term care. Unit of Service: One hour Complaint/Abuse Investigation and Facility Monitoring: To participate in activities related to receiving, verifying, investigating, and resolving a complaint. Includes all hours spent in facilities by staff or volunteers, traveling to or from facilities, and completing required records. Unit of Service: One hour
Community Education. A. Off-Campus Education The College service area is divided into four geographical regions: northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast. The off-campus credit course offerings included in the off-campus programs, except Workforce development programs, will be academically coordinated as follows: Northeast Auburn Hills Campus Northwest Highland Lakes Campus Southwest Orchard Ridge Campus Southeast Royal Oak and Southfield Campus
B. Campus Departmental Governance Off-campus courses offered for Oakland Community College credit, as established in Section
16.1 A shall be governed by the appropriate campus department under the provisions of Section 2.1 B and F.
Community Education. The Board agrees that the Director of Community Education shall give written notice to the Association designee seven (7) calendar days prior to filling any Community Education teaching position and agrees to consider written applications from current or laid-off bargaining unit members for such position(s), provided the written application is received within the seven (7) calendar day period. Preferential consideration of current or laid-off bargaining unit members will be given provided such applicants are certified and qualified as per the posting for the position(s) in question. It is further agreed that Community Education programs will not:
1. Displace regular K-12 programs;
2. Interfere with regular K-12 programs, or
3. Displace any regular K-12 employee.
Community Education. Presentations will be conducted alone or jointly with other community providers to provide needed information to professionals and service providers in the community. Unit of Service: One session Day of Attendance: To provide an environment designed to accommodate participants experiencing moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. Program to include dementia specific services and a noon meal. Unit of Service: One day (five-hour minimum) Family Counseling/Training: Trained social workers or other professionals on staff to provide counseling and to assist families by referring them to specific resources in the area to address dementia-related issues in depth. Unit of Service: One hour In-Service Staff Training: Conduct training sessions for staff and volunteers that emphasize understanding dementia. Unit of Service: One session Professional Service Provider Sessions: Use student intern programs to provide training to professional service providers in the community. Unit of Service: One session Support Group Sessions: Sessions conducted for caregivers through caregiver support groups and other caregiver activities no fewer than 10 times per year by staff associated with the ADCRC or by arrangement with other support group providers in the local community.
