Critical Leave. Up to five (5) days at any one time in the event of critical illness of the administrator’s spouse/domestic partner, child, parent, brother, sister, in-law, grandparent, grandchild, or a member of the administrator’s immediate household. “Domestic Partner” is equivalent to “Spouse” in all family relationships. Critical illness is defined as “pertaining to a crisis in an acute illness leading to deterioration.” Hospital placement on a critical list will be considered a critical illness.

Critical Leave. 1. An Association member who is faced with a crisis requiring immediate attention may be allowed to take up to five days of leave with pay during the school year. Critical leave shall be defined as such things as weather related incidents, fire, other natural occurrence or another emergency that would require the Association member to take immediate action to protect property or persons.
Critical Leave. Critical Leave is absence with pay that is taken separately from PTO. Up to five (5) days annually may be used for Critical Leave. Unused days cannot be rolled over or accumulated for future use. FMLA qualifying absences will run concurrently with FMLA allotments.   • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • Political Leave Any employee who is a declared candidate for public office shall have the right to a leave of absence without pay for a reasonable period to campaign for the election. Such leave is subject to the conditions governing special leaves of absence without pay contained herein.

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.
