Cultural Appropriateness. It is essential that the RNP tailors to the needs of different racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQ people, immigrants, refugees, people whose first language is not English, people with disabilities, and other key populations. The BHASOs will confirm through the Regional Recovery Navigator Plan that all aspects of the program, including outreach, case management, and project management, are provided from a culturally specific or mindful framework. Funded programs should understand the barriers faced by marginalized populations in accessing standard systems of care, and ensure they are not referring participants back into those systems expecting success. Programs will consider culturally appropriate care when working with American Indian/Alaskan Native tribal members and best practices for connections to Indian Health Care Providers (IHCP) for Tribal members or those that access services as a medical home at a Tribe. RNPs will be mindful of how programs can ensure retention of current services when possible or when services are already established with an IHCP. Golden Thread Service Coordination Individuals referred to RNP staff have a multitude of needs which must be addressed to achieve stabilization and set the stage to address problematic activities associated with their quality of life. Case managers work to address the participant’s social determinants of health, including legal advocacy and access to a stable legal income stream. Intensive case management provides increased support in accessing these services and assistance in many aspects of the participant’s life. Case management is the “golden thread” that stays with the participant over time and works to address setbacks and barriers. The BHASO must address existing resources within the community in their Regional Recovery Navigator Program Plan. Individual Intervention Plan This coordination of services will include individualized interventions with a culturally directed service coordination plan which the participant creates through a shared decision-making process with the case manager. Case Management will take place “where the person is at” with the goal of connecting and weaving the various indicated services along the continuum of care. Caseload Average caseload should be no more than 20 people, and that should represent a blend of very active participants and those who still need proactive engagement in the field initiated by the team. Cultural Appropriateness. ‌ Many of the language norming recommendations above are clear indications of places where the application could improve in order to make it more appropriate for both the community end-users and the EcoFiltro staff who will be using it during their work. The interviewee who suggested that the “Positive Result” graphic (which is used at the end of the water quality test) be modified did, however, acknowledge that the educational infographics were appropriate on numerous occasions. “For me,” they explained, “the description [in the ‘Bacteria in the water’ infographic] is very good because, at the end of the day, what we want is to reach those places where the people do not know what water contamination is” (B4). Overall, they thought that the infographic “images are very good, they are well-described,” and also appreciated the “Other contaminants’ content and how “it would bring awareness so that people do not pollute with trash” (B4). A different participant also confirmed that community members would indeed be able to identify the configurations icon used for the “User Settings”: This reiterated in another interview (B4). Furthermore, with regards to introducing the application to the EcoFiltro school program, one of these participants also confirmed that “all teachers have their smartphone” and “the [school] directors can be presented [with the app content] on their computer” (B1). They elaborated that having school teachers download the application “would not be hard for them at all, right, maybe it would only cost them in terms of their phone data, for example” (B1).   • CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Cultural Diversity Requirement generally does not add units to a student's program. Rather, it is intended to be fulfilled by choosing courses from the approved list that also satisfy requirements in other areas of the student’s program; the exception is that Cultural Diversity courses may not satisfy Culture and Language Requirements for B.S. students. For example, COMM 6 – Intercultural Communication, can fulfill (3) units of the Behavioral Science requirement and (3) units of the Cultural Diversity requirement. This double counting of a class may only be done with the Cultural Diversity requirement. Courses in Cultural Diversity may be taken at the lower- division or upper-division level.

  • Cultural ceremonial leave may be taken as whole or part days off. Each day, or part thereof, shall be deducted from: a) the Employee's annual leave entitlements (where applicable); b) the Employee’s accrued long service leave entitlements, but in full days only; or c) accrued days off or time in lieu.

  • Environmental and Social Safeguards All of the Projects will be implemented in compliance with the MCC Environmental Guidelines and the MCC Gender Policy, and any resettlement will be carried out in accordance with the World Bank’s Operational Policy on Involuntary Resettlement in effect as of July 2007 (“OP 4.12”) in a manner acceptable to MCC. In accordance with its policies, the Government will ensure that the Projects comply with all national environmental laws and regulations, licenses and permits, except to the extent such compliance would be inconsistent with this Compact. Specifically, the Government will: (a) cooperate with or complete, as the case may be, any ongoing environmental assessments, or if necessary undertake and complete any additional environmental assessments, social assessments, environmental management plans, environmental and social audits, resettlement policy frameworks, and resettlement action plans required under the laws of Indonesia, the MCC Environmental Guidelines, this Compact, the PIA, or any Supplemental Agreement, or as otherwise required by MCC, each in form and substance satisfactory to MCC; (b) ensure that Project-specific environmental and social management plans are developed and all relevant measures contained in such plans are integrated into project design, the applicable procurement documents and associated finalized contracts, in each case, in form and substance satisfactory to MCC; and (c) implement to MCC’s satisfaction appropriate environmental and social mitigation measures identified in such assessments or plans. Unless MCC agrees otherwise in writing, the Government will fund all necessary costs of environmental and social mitigation measures (including, without limitation, costs of resettlement) not specifically provided for, or that exceed the MCC Funding specifically allocated for such costs in, the Detailed Financial Plan for any Project. To maximize the positive social impacts of the Projects, address cross-cutting social and gender issues such as human trafficking, child and forced labor, and HIV/AIDS, and to ensure compliance with the MCC Gender Policy, the Government will: (x) develop a comprehensive social and gender integration plan which, at a minimum, identifies approaches for regular, meaningful and inclusive consultations with women and other vulnerable/underrepresented groups, consolidates the findings and recommendations of Project-specific social and gender analyses and sets forth strategies for incorporating findings of the social and gender analyses into final Project designs as appropriate (“Social and Gender Integration Plan”); and (y) ensure, through monitoring and coordination during implementation, that final Activity designs, construction tender documents and implementation plans are consistent with and incorporate the outcomes of the social and gender analyses and social and gender integration plan. To address gender concerns that impact women’s ability to participate across Projects, MCA- Indonesia will adopt a detailed workplan, subject to MCC approval, for gender work to be undertaken at the policy, institutional capacity building and community levels (the “Targeted Gender Activities”). Xxxxx XX sets forth the MCC Funding allocated for the performance of the Targeted Gender Activities. Prior to the second disbursement of MCC Funding for the Targeted Gender Activities, MCA-Indonesia shall have completed detailed action plans and provided evidence of demonstrated commitment of relevant stakeholders to addressing policy constraints identified in the workplan.

  • Sustainability (12 /18) Pursuant to the City’s Sustainable City Principles, which direct City Bureaus to pursue long-term social equity, environmental quality, and economic vitality through innovative and traditional mechanisms, Contractor is encouraged to incorporate these Principles into its scope of work with the City wherever possible. Therefore, in accordance with the Principles and the City's Sustainable Procurement Policy, it is the policy of the City of Portland to encourage the use of Products or Services that help to minimize the human health and environmental impacts of City operations. Contractor is encouraged to incorporate environmentally preferable Products or Services into its work performance wherever possible. "Environmentally preferable" means Products or Services that have a lesser or reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared with competing products or services that serve the same purpose. This comparison may consider raw materials acquisition, production, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, reuse, operation, maintenance, or disposal of the Product or Service.

  • Searchability Offering searchability capabilities on the Directory Services is optional but if offered by the Registry Operator it shall comply with the specification described in this section. 1.10.1 Registry Operator will offer searchability on the web-­‐based Directory Service. 1.10.2 Registry Operator will offer partial match capabilities, at least, on the following fields: domain name, contacts and registrant’s name, and contact and registrant’s postal address, including all the sub-­‐fields described in EPP (e.g., street, city, state or province, etc.). 1.10.3 Registry Operator will offer exact-­‐match capabilities, at least, on the following fields: registrar id, name server name, and name server’s IP address (only applies to IP addresses stored by the registry, i.e., glue records). 1.10.4 Registry Operator will offer Boolean search capabilities supporting, at least, the following logical operators to join a set of search criteria: AND, OR, NOT. 1.10.5 Search results will include domain names matching the search criteria. 1.10.6 Registry Operator will: 1) implement appropriate measures to avoid abuse of this feature (e.g., permitting access only to legitimate authorized users); and 2) ensure the feature is in compliance with any applicable privacy laws or policies.

  • Study An application for leave of absence for professional study must be supported by a written statement indicating what study or research is to be undertaken, or, if applicable, what subjects are to be studied and at what institutions.

  • Strategy As an organization without operational services (fuel, maintenance, etc.), and in consideration that the majority of potential issues come from boat maintenance whereby the boats are personal property, the predominant strategy will be the minimization of on-site waste. With this approach, the organization will have minimal potential impact on the environment and reduce regulatory risk. To accomplish this, requirements will be established by policy, periodic communications shall occur, and audits will be utilized to provide feedback for improvement.

  • Medical Necessity We Cover benefits described in this Contract as long as the dental service, procedure, treatment, test, device, or supply (collectively, “service”) is Medically Necessary e.g. orthodontia. The fact that a Provider has furnished, prescribed, ordered, recommended, or approved the service does not make it Medically Necessary or mean that We have to Cover it. We may base Our decision on a review of: • Your dental records; • Our dental policies and clinical guidelines; • Dental opinions of a professional society, peer review committee or other groups of Physicians; • Reports in peer-reviewed dental literature; • Reports and guidelines published by nationally-recognized health care organizations that include supporting scientific data; • Professional standards of safety and effectiveness, which are generally-recognized in the United States for diagnosis, care, or treatment; • The opinion of health care professionals in the generally-recognized health specialty involved; • The opinion of the attending Providers, which have credence but do not overrule contrary opinions. Services will be deemed Medically Necessary only if: • They are clinically appropriate in terms of type, frequency, extent, site, and duration, and considered effective for Your illness, injury, or disease; • They are required for the direct care and treatment or management of that condition; • Your condition would be adversely affected if the services were not provided; • They are provided in accordance with generally-accepted standards of dental practice; • They are not primarily for the convenience of You, Your family, or Your Provider; • They are not more costly than an alternative service or sequence of services, that is at least as likely to produce equivalent therapeutic or diagnostic results; • When setting or place of service is part of the review, services that can be safely provided to You in a lower cost setting will not be Medically Necessary if they are performed in a higher cost setting. See the Utilization Review and External Appeal sections of this Contract for Your right to an internal Appeal and external appeal of Our determination that a service is not Medically Necessary.

  • Grievability Denial of a petition for reinstatement is grievable. The grievance may not be based on information other than that shared with the Employer at the time of the petition for reinstatement.

  • Outcomes Secondary: Career pathway students will: have career goals designated on SEOP, earn concurrent college credit while in high school, achieve a state competency certificate and while completing high school graduation requirements.
