Eligibility for Paid Holidays. In order to qualify for holiday pay on a particular holiday, the employee must have established seniority within the meaning of Article VIII, Section 2, on the date of the holiday, and must have worked all of the last scheduled shift prior to the holiday and all of the next scheduled shift after the holiday unless he or she is excused in writing by the Company, or such failure to work is caused by illness or injury evidenced as provided in Article XII, Section 2, provided however, for the purpose of determining eligibility for holiday pay, tardiness of up to thirty (30) minutes, whether the day before or the day after the holiday, established upon request, shall not be considered absence for holiday pay purposes. Provided further, however, that for the purpose of determining eligibility for holiday pay, a layoff pursuant to and under Article VIII of this Agreement, occurring thirty (30) calendar days prior to the holiday and illness or injury occurring one (1) calendar year prior to the holiday, shall not disqualify an employee otherwise eligible for holiday pay.
Eligibility for Paid Holidays. Employees of the City who have thirty (30) days continuous service will be paid for such holidays provided they have been at work or on an authorized leave of absence, provided such leave is less than thirty (30) continuous calendar days, during the scheduled days of work which immediately precede and follow such holidays.

An employee on an unpaid leave of absence is not eligible for holiday pay.

  • Eligibility for Pay An employee granted military leave for emergency National Guard duty is entitled to receive regular University pay for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days in any one (1) fiscal year. An employee is eligible for pay regardless of the length of University service, and such pay is in addition to any University payment for temporary military leave for active-duty training, extended military leave, and military leave for physical examinations.

  • Eligibility for Holiday Pay A. An employee must be paid for all or a portion of both the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately prior to a holiday and the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately after that holiday in order to receive holiday pay.   • Benefits for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee including a casual employee, and a temporary employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or part by the Hospital, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury and witness duty, bereavement pay, and maternity supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his/her regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.
