Emergency Leave Without Pay. An adjunct faculty member shall be granted emergency leave without pay during any given semester for a period up to the duration of that semester, provided the appropriate immediate administrative supervisor has been notified of the circumstances making such leave necessary. No loss of bargaining unit status shall result from this leave, and Section 3.2(b) Voluntary Inactive Status will apply to any further leave required by the adjunct. An adjunct faculty member may receive an emergency leave once every two (2) years.

Emergency Leave Without Pay. An employee may apply for emergency leave without pay in extenuating or urgent circumstances, subject to the following: • The approval of emergency leave without pay is at the sole discretion of the employer; • Once approved, emergency leave without pay counts as service for all purposes; and • A maximum of four (4) weeks emergency leave may be granted for any one application.
Emergency Leave Without Pay. Short leaves to cover emergency situations may be granted by the appropriate department head if arrangements can be made to assign the work to others. The period of such leave should not exceed ten (10) workdays without prior approval of the Xxxxxxx, Vice President or his/her designee. (v) While on Emergency Leave Without Pay employees will not accrue all entitlements under the Award. (vi) Taking Emergency Leave Without Pay does not affect an employee's continuity of service.

The employer will continue to accrue annual leave, personal/carers leave and long service leave for the employee over the period that Emergency leave without pay is granted. • A maximum of 4 weeks emergency leave may be granted for any 1 application 13.2.1 Employees may apply to participate in a 50/52 annual leave scheme where an additional 2 weeks annual leave can be available on the basis of paying an employee an adjusted annualised salary. 13.2.2 The purpose of this leave is to assist employees with: • Family support needsSchool holiday care • Other carer responsibilities It may also be approved in other circumstances at the discretion of the relevant Director where work arrangements permit. 13.2.3 This leave must be scheduled and utilised in such a manner that all annual leave, long service leave in excess of 10 years accrual and accrued rostered days off have been exhausted by a date within each 12 month period agreed by both the employee and their Director. It is the responsibility of the employee to communicate and gain agreement with their Department Manager for a leave plan that will ensure that all leave is utilised by the pre-agreed date. 13.2.4 Employees may apply and it is at the sole discretion of the employer to approve leave, based on the needs of the organisation, equity of access to high demand periods and employees’ personal / family circumstances. 13.2.5 The employer, by giving 3 months notice, may terminate this 50/52 work agreement. 13.2.6 The employee, by giving 1 months notice, may terminate this 50/52 work agreement.

Emergency Leave Without Pay. Leaves of absence without pay for reasons other than those covered in this Agreement and the Policy Manual may be granted for emergency reasons based on the following: • The Administrative Director may authorize leave without pay for employees, upon receipt of a written request. • Leaves without pay maybe granted to an employee who has used his/her personal days and is in need of time off to attend a personal situation. Such situations include family matters and/or financial responsibilities that require an employee to be absent from work. Settling estates and other situations of similarly obvious importance are legitimate reasons for granting emergency leaves of absence without pay.

  • Special Leave Without Pay Section 1. Employees may participate in a Special Leave Without Pay Program as established by the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners.   • Sick Leave Without Pay Sick leave without pay shall be granted to an employee who does not qualify for sick leave with pay, or who is unable to return to work at the termination of the period for which sick leave with pay is granted.
