Employee Holidays. The following thirteen (13) holidays shall b,e observed as days off with full pay: July 4th Christmas Day Labor Day Thursday & Friday (NJEA Convention) Thanksgiving Day New Year's Eve Day New Year's Day President's Day In the event that any of the above days fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday may be observed as the holiday. In the event that any of the above days fall on Sunday, the following Monday may be observed as the holiday. A list of the days will be available at the start of the school year.

Employee Holidays. 11.1 Employee holidays shall mean the following days: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Saskatchewan Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Half Day Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and, in addition, one (1) day to be designated each year by mutual agreement between the parties, and any other day proclaimed by federal, provincial or municipal authority to be a holiday.
Employee Holidays. Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Thanksgiving Day Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day shall be paid holidays. Holiday pay is equal to the average hours worked per week divided by 5.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above described holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus twice their base rate for all hours worked on such holidays.

  • Unworked Holidays Employees shall receive eight (8) hours pay for unworked holidays (reference Appendix A), at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs, plus applicable shift differential, if, on the holiday, they are either on the active payroll or not on leave of absence for longer than ninety calendar days. Employees not on leave of absence who take leave without pay (LWOP) at the time the holiday occurs shall be eligible for holiday pay.

  • HOLIDAYS The following days are observed as holidays by state agencies in accordance with section 110.117, F.S.: • New Year’s Day • Birthday of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx., third Monday in January • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Veterans’ Day, November 11 • Thanksgiving Day • Friday after Thanksgiving • Christmas Day If any of these holidays falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday. If any of these holidays falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday. Customers may have additional holiday(s) observed specifically by the Customer which will be detailed in the Customer’s order.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.
