PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. 1.01 It is the purpose of this collective agreement:
a) to promote orderly relations between the University, the Union, and all employees covered by this collective agreement in order to ensure equitable and just working conditions;
b) to promote the security and welfare of the employees;
c) to favour the appropriate mechanisms for the prompt and fair settlement of problems which may develop between the University and the employees covered by this collective agreement.

PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. (a) The general purpose of this Agreement between the Employer and the Union (the “Agreement”) is to secure the benefits of collective bargaining, the method of settling any difference between the Parties arising from the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Agreement, and to set forth the terms and conditions of employment applicable to employees in the bargaining unit and matters to be observed by the Union and the Employer.
(b) The Union recognizes the unique nature of The Xxxxx School’s longstanding teaching ethos and school culture which impacts the school’s sense of community and the Union agrees to support the Employer in fostering this unique environment, which is consistent with the objective of this Agreement. The Parties acknowledge the Employer’s commitment to being an independent elementary school of excellent quality and recognize the role of staff in contributing to this excellence.
(c) The Employer recognizes the vital role the Union plays in representing its members in the workplace and the labour movement, and understands that its representational structure, found in its national constitution and local by-laws, is an essential ingredient to that mission.
PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. The purpose of the Collective Agreement is to encourage and maintain harmonious relations between the University, the Union and the Instructors through the establishment of a well ordered process of collective bargaining and through efficient resolution of arising conflicts.
PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. The purpose of this Collective Agreement is to establish orderly dealings between the Parties, to promote good labour relations between the Employer and Union members and establish working conditions to promote safety, well-being and satisfaction at work. The purpose of this Agreement is also to promote cordial dealings and collaboration between the Employer and the Union. It is with this intention of good faith that the Parties have signed this Agreement to establish mutually agreed working conditions. It is in this same spirit that the Parties acknowledge that they work in an ever-changing industry. The Parties are collaborating to adapt quickly to these changes to implement the mandate of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)/Radio-Canada pursuant to the Broadcasting Act.
PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. I This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions of employment Employees in certain retail banking branches of the Employer, relating to hours of work, rates of pay, benefits, and other working conditions and provides a means for settling disputes. The Union and the Employer agree that compensation is based upon a standardized performance system as set out herein. The Employer and the Union acknowledge that it is in their common interest that conditions supporting the growth and profitability of the business be in place. The parties will ensure overall performance, growth and profitability by recognizing the importance of customer service, personal performance, quality and productivity.

PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. The Employer and the Union (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”) share a desire to work cooperatively to address the concerns and interests of both Parties. Accordingly, they are determined to establish an effective working relationship at all levels of which Bargaining Unit Members are employed. The purpose of this Agreement is to:
(a) Establish and maintain a harmonious and mutually satisfactory relationship between the Employer, its Employees, and the Union;
(b) Set forth the negotiated terms and conditions of employment, and establish and maintain mutually satisfactory working conditions for the Employees covered by this Agreement;
(c) Provide mechanisms for collective bargaining and for the prompt and equitable resolution of any differences or Grievances that may arise between the Parties with respect to matters covered under this Agreement.
