Representative Workforce. 34:01 (a) Preamble: The parties will address proactive processes that support a representative workforce which shall include but not be limited to identifying employment opportunities, education and training, and preparing workplaces.
Representative Workforce. (a) The Union and Employer are committed to the co-development and implementation of a Representative Workforce Plan.
(b) To this end the parties will establish a Joint Representative Workforce Committee that will meet quarterly, or as agreed to by the parties. The Union will appoint up to three (3) representatives to participate on the Committee. There will be an equal number of Union and Employer representatives.
Representative Workforce. 33.1 The parties to this agreement are committed to the achievement of a representative workforce, including Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and women.
33.2 When recruiting APT members, the University shall: - ensure that all advertisements reflect the University’s commitment to employment equity and encourage self-identification; - ensure all individuals involved in the hiring process are apprised of their responsibility for employment equity; and - ensure its actions reflect this commitment to achievement of a representative workforce.
33.3 The parties agree that appropriate steps taken to address imbalances shall not be deemed a violation of Article 32.
33.4 The APT members shall have representation, named by the Association, on the Employment Equity Consultative Committee.
33.5 The University shall: - set goals for hiring, training and promoting designated groups, and implement action for achieving these goals; - set a timetable for achieving employment equity goals, including appropriate representation of designated groups. The Faculty Association shall be provided with data tracking progress on the above annually.
33.6 The Employment Equity Consultative Committee shall: - serve as a vehicle for discussions between the parties concerning the development, implementation and monitoring of the objectives established above; - assist areas in the development, amendment, and maintenance of hiring goals and other measures to eliminate barriers facing equity-seeking groups; - advise the University and the Faculty Association on setting employment equity goals, amending the Collective Agreement to achieve employment equity goals, and the identification and implementation of best practices in this area. The Employment Equity Consultative Committee shall report annually to the University and the Faculty Association. The University shall eliminate or modify any policies, practices, and systems which have an unfavourable effect on the employment and advancement of designated group members.
Representative Workforce. 7B01 Health services across Manitoba are provided in facilities located on the original lands of First Nations and Inuit peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. Manitoba’s health authorities respect that First Nations treaties were made on these territories and we dedicate ourselves to collaborate in partnership with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in the spirit of reconciliation. 7B02 The Union and the Employer agree with the goal of achieving a representative workforce for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (“Indigenous”) peoples who are significantly underrepresented in the health workforce. Additional actions are needed to promote and facilitate employment of Indigenous persons in health care occupations at all levels. The parties shall work collaboratively to:
Representative Workforce.
a) Principle The principle of a representative workforce for Aboriginal workers is where Aboriginal people are employed in all classifications and at all levels in proportion to their representation in the working age population within the community or the provincial population. The parties will address proactive processes that support a representational workforce which shall include but not be limited to identifying employment opportunities, education and training, and preparing workplaces.
Representative Workforce. (a) The Union and the Employer are committed to developing and implementing a Representative Workforce Plan.
(b) To this end the parties will establish a Joint Union Management Representative Workforce Committee (JUMRWC) that will meet quarterly, or as agreed to by the parties. There will be an equal number of Union and Employer representatives. Designated group member representation will be foremost considerations of the parties in the selection of their representatives.
(c) Time spent on the JUMRWC by employees shall be considered time worked and paid for at straight time.
(d) The JUMRWC will jointly provide input into the development and implementation of the Representative Workforce Plan. Input will include, but not be limited to, qualitative and quantitative measures and strategies to remove barriers and ideas to help achieve a representative workforce. Further, the committee will jointly assist in the coordination and communications of initiatives, participate in cultural diversity education and awareness for employees and the promotion of the Representative Workforce plan.
(e) The JUMRWC will continue to strive to achieve a minimum of fifty (50%) percent indigenous employment for all in-scope levels. Once achieved, the minimum fifty (50%) percent level will be maintained.
(f) The JUMRWC will address the representation of the other equity groups parallel to the requirement of Article 12.01 (e).
(g) No employee shall be laid off, terminated or have their hours reduced as a result of any decision reached in the JUMRWC.
(h) The Representative Workforce Plan and the required yearly reports will be submitted to the Committee for review when submitted to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.
(i) All expenses related to the development, implementation and monitoring of the Representative Workforce Plan shall be the responsibility of the Employer, save and except the salaries of people in the employ of the Union.
Representative Workforce. The parties agree to the principle of a representative workforce and will strive to develop, support and implement proactive strategies designed to ensure the diversity of employees in the Company. A representative workforce is one in which the working age population of Saskatchewan is represented through SaskEnergy/TransGas at all levels and classifications in the organization and includes Aboriginal people, people with disabilities, visible minorities and men and women in under- represented classifications. The parties agree to work in cooperation to:
a. develop strategic initiatives and programs that xxxxxx mutual respect, trust, fairness, open communication and understanding of diversity principles;
b. develop programs to achieve a more diverse workforce through recruitment, selection, training and career development; and
c. identify ways to eliminate barriers that may be discouraging or preventing people who are under-represented in the workforce from entering and remaining in the workforce.
Representative Workforce.
30:01 PARIM and the Employer agree with the goal of achieving a representative workforce for First Nations, Métis and Inuit (“Indigenous”) peoples who are significantly underrepresented in the health workforce. The parties shall work collaboratively to:
(a) Develop strategic initiatives and programs that: ▪ Xxxxxx mutual respect, trust, equity, open communication and understanding; ▪ Focus on training and career development of Indigenous staff; ▪ Identify workplace and systemic barriers that may be discouraging or preventing Indigenous people from entering and remaining in the workforce; ▪ Xxxxxx reconciliation in race and cultural relations; ▪ Promote the elimination of racism in the healthcare system.
(b) Promote and publicize initiatives undertaken to encourage, facilitate and support the development of a representative workforce;
(c) Implement educational opportunities for all employees to promote awareness of cultural diversity with an emphasis on Indigenous peoples. This will include enhanced orientation sessions for new employees to ensure a culturally safe environment. Anti-racism education will be offered to all Residents.
