Filling Assignments. Secondary employment is voluntary and done on an officer’s time off from the department. Therefore, it can never be guaranteed that an off-duty assignment will be filled. The employer may request that a particular officer or officer(s) staff a job; however, whether this officer or officer(s) actually are employed at this job is at the discretion of the Concord Police Department. When an employer asks to hire a Concord Police Department officer, it is understood that ANY eligible officer may in fact work the job. Under extraordinary circumstances, off-duty officers may be activated to an on-duty status and pulled away from their off-duty assignments. The priority of Concord Police Department officers is their full time assignment within the Police Department and any obligations, such as call-back or court, which come with their Concord Police Department assignment.

Filling Assignments. 1. All interested Bargaining Unit employees shall complete the Master Bid Sign-Up Sheet prioritizing their choices.
Filling Assignments. Assignments shall be granted on the basis of minimum qualifications and abilities as stated in the job description. Seniority will be a deciding factor in the event of a tie for an upgraded position. Assignments can be refused by an employee. If no employee takes an available assignment, then the lowest seniority person will be chosen.
Filling Assignments. The Department retains the right to establish and modify in its sole discretion the selection process and the criteria used to select personnel to fill Non-Bid Assignments and voluntary details. However, the Department will give consideration to the expressed interests of affected employees.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal.   • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.

  • Acting Assignment (a) For the purpose of this Agreement, acting assignment means the assignment of an employee on an acting basis to a Postmaster or Senior Assistant position which is at a higher classification level than the position to which he is appointed. An employee will perform the duties of the higher classification level that may be required during the acting assignment in order to be entitled to receive the acting pay.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.
