Floating Vacation Days. Special rule for 2013: For the calendar year 2013, each active Employee with one year of continuous employment with the Employer shall be entitled to four (4) additional days of paid vacation, provided, however, that any unused Floating Vacation Days as of July 1, 2013 (including days carried over from the prior year) may be taken in the last half of 2013 only in accordance with Article XIV Section (a). For 2013, the provisions of paragraph (2) below shall apply where applicable. For calendar years 2014 and 2015 each eligible Employee shall be entitled to two (2) Floating Vacation Days. For calendar years 2016, 2017 and 2018 each eligible Employee shall be entitled to three (3) Floating Vacation Days. The provisions of paragraphs (2) and (3) of Section (c) shall apply to this section.

Floating Vacation Days a) The additional vacation days to which employees are entitled as the result of vacations being predicated on a calendar week rather than a work week shall be considered “floating vacation days” to be taken at the request of the employee with the permission of his commanding officer. The Commissioner may determine how many employees shall be allowed to take “floating vacation days” in each squad or bureau in addition to the employees on regular vacation at any one time. Whenever it becomes necessary for the good of the department, commanding officers shall have the right to assign such employees to take “floating vacation days.”

The Trial period will be from July to June A floating vacation day is a day of vacation entitlement that the employee has specifically requested to be left unscheduled.   • Vacation Days Employee shall be entitled to the same paid vacation days each calendar year during the term of this Employee Agreement as authorized by the Company for its other employees.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

  • Holiday During Vacation If a holiday, named under Article 7 of this Agreement, falls within the vacation period of an employee, he shall be granted an additional day's pay in lieu of the holiday.

  • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Preference in Vacation (1) A preference in selection of vacation time shall be determined in each work group on the basis of service seniority by classification within that work group.

  • Unused Vacation ASF Members may accumulate unused vacation to any amount provided that once during each fiscal year each ASF Member's accumulation must be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours or less, unless the President determines that the ASF Member is unable to utilize vacation leave because of the requirements of the individual’s assignment or because of physical incapacity. This reduction must be accomplished on or before last day of the fiscal year. If this reduction is not accomplished on or before the last day of the fiscal year, the ASF Member’s accumulation shall automatically be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours effective on the last day of the fiscal year, and the amount of accumulation over two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours will transfer to the ASF Member’s bank of lapsed sick leave (See Article 18, section C, Subd.2). Vacation leave accrued during the pay period that includes the last day of a fiscal year, will be credited to each ASF Member’s balance after deductions are made for vacation used and/or reduced pursuant this Subdivision.

  • Holidays During Vacation If a paid holiday falls or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be granted an additional day's vacation with pay for each holiday in addition to his/her regular vacation time.

  • ELECTION DAYS Work and travel will be arranged to allow employees the opportunity to vote on their own time on recognized state and federal election days unless they are given sufficient notice to enable time to obtain an absentee ballot.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Work During Vacation Period No employee shall be required to work during the employee's vacation once the vacation request has been approved.
