Holiday Falling on Day Off. Employees who are eligible for holiday pay will receive a normal day's pay for the holiday, whether or not they are scheduled to work on the holiday.

Holiday Falling on Day Off designated as a recognized holiday, as set out in Section 16.01, which coincides with an employee's day of rest, shall be celebrated on the first scheduled working day following the employee’s day or days of rest.
Holiday Falling on Day Off. If any of the holidays named in Article 19.01 occur on a regular day off for a full-time Employee entitled to holiday pay, the Employee will receive an additional day off in lieu thereof within four (4) weeks after the holiday unless otherwise arranged between the Employee and the Employer; failing agreement the Employer may schedule the lieu day or pay an additional day’s pay. The Employer when scheduling the lieu day as provided herein will give prior consideration to the date requested by the Employee.
Holiday Falling on Day Off. If a holiday falls on the full-time nurse’s day off, eight (8) hours of holiday pay will be credited to her/his holiday bank, and part-time nurses with benefits shall have their holiday hours prorated, or the nurse may request pay for the holiday within that pay period. If a holiday falls during the nurse’s vacation, the extra hours may be added to the vacation or the nurse will have the option to be paid for such holiday within that pay period.

Where one of the Statutory Holidays falls on a Saturday or Sunday, an alternative day may be designated by the Employer as the Statutory Holiday. Part-time employees shall be eligible to receive the same number of paid holidays as full-time employees as per the Employment Standards Act wages on twelve days of the days preceding the holiday. The regular rates of wages of an employee whose hours of work differs from day to day, shall be the average of the employee's daily earnings exclusive of the overtime for the days worked in the four (4) week period immediately preceding a public holiday. Part-time employees who work a holiday shall be paid time and one-half (1 applicable hourly rate in addition to their normal day's pay. There shall be no pyramiding of premium pay, overtime pay, sick leave pay and paid holiday pay.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an Employee covered by this clause shall receive a loading of 22.5% calculated on the all-purpose rate of wage prescribed by Appendix A, clause 2.3 of this Agreement.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • WORKING DAY BEFORE AUCTION DATE Any intending bidder who intends to bid on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm is required to deposit with the Auctioneer prior to the auction sale an authority letter to state that he/she is acting on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm and he/she is authorised to sign all the necessary documents. All intending bidders shall be required to verify their identities by showing to the Auctioneer their identity cards prior to the commencement of the auction, failing which, they shall not be entitled to bid. In the event that the Bumiputra lot is sold to a non Bumiputra or if the successful bidder is below the age of 18 or is an undischarged bankrupt or is not legally competent to purchase the property, then such sale shall be cancelled and the deposit paid shall be refunded to the successful bidder and thereafter the Assignee shall be at liberty to put up the property for sale. A foreign citizen/foreign company may be allowed to bid for the property and if the bid is successful, the sale is subject to the foreign citizen/company applying and obtaining at his/her/its own cost to the Economic Planning Unit (if applicable) and/or relevant State Authority for the unconditional consent to the sale within the period stated in Clause 11 hereof but subject to Clause 22 hereof.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Sunday Premium Any employee who is required to work at any time on a Sunday shall be paid a Sunday premium in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) cents per hour, for each such hour and portion of an hour worked. Sunday premium pay shall not be added to an employee's hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the “in charge” employees referred to in sub-articles 23.03 and 23.04 of this Agreement.
