Holiday on Day Off. Whenever a holiday shall fall on an employee’s scheduled day off, the last normal workday before the holiday or the first normal workday following the holiday (whichever is closer) shall be designated as the holiday. Whenever the Holiday falls equally between workdays, the last workday before the holiday shall be designated as the holiday. However, as an option, upon mutual agreement between the Supervisor and the employee an alternate day off may be granted. The alternate day off must be taken by the end of the fiscal year. If the employee has requested the time and the request has been denied due to COUNTY requirements the time off will be granted within the following thirty (30) calendar days.
Holiday on Day Off. When any of the above noted Holidays fall on an employee's scheduled day off, the employee shall receive another day(s) off immediately following their two (2) consecutive days of rest.
Holiday on Day Off. Holidays occurring during an Employee's annual leave period shall not be counted as annual leave; however, the Employee shall be compensated at straight time. Where one of the authorized holidays falls on the first day of a covered Employee's scheduled days off, the preceding day shall be observed as a holiday, and where one of these holidays falls on the second or succeeding days of consecutive scheduled days off, the next succeeding work day shall be observed as a holiday. See Appendix C. If an employee is on a flexible work schedule, with prior notice the Supervisor may change the employees work schedule to accommodate business needs the week of the holiday. If on approval of supervisor and employee, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving may be utilized as the recognized day off for the Thanksgiving Holiday or Family Day Holiday.
Holiday on Day Off. If a holiday falls on an employee’s scheduled day off, the employee will choose to receive holiday pay for the holiday or schedule another day off at a later date within the same calendar year except that up to sixteen (16) hours of accrued and unused holiday hours may be rolled over into PTO.
Holiday on Day Off. When a holiday falls on a scheduled day off, an alternate day off will be approved within the same work week. If an authorized holiday occurs within an employee’s vacation period, that day will be paid as a holiday and not deducted from the employee’s vacation accruals. Employees cannot receive vacation, alternative leave, sick leave or holiday pay simultaneously for the same days.
Holiday on Day Off. When any of the above noted holidays fall on an employee’s scheduled day off, the employee shall receive another day off with pay within sixty (60) days after the holiday except at Christmas and New Years at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the Employer. In the event that a day within sixty (60) days cannot be mutually agreed upon then the Employer may pay the employee the holiday pay to which she is otherwise entitled in the pay period in which this obligation arises, in the alternative to scheduling another day off with pay.
Holiday on Day Off. Two (2) scheduled days off may be separated by a holiday only when no work is scheduled on that holiday.
Holiday on Day Off. When a paid holiday falls on the day of an employee’s scheduled day off, he/she shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the paid holiday.
Holiday on Day Off. When a day officially designated by the University as a holiday coincides with an employee's scheduled day off, the University shall provide the employee either 1) one additional regular day of CTO added to his/her CTO bank or 2) an additional regular day’s pay (OPTION Pay/Day Off).
Holiday on Day Off. If one of the above-named statutory holidays falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, his/her following regularly scheduled work day shall be his/her statutory holiday.
