HOURS OF WORK 4. 01
(1) The hours of work for employees will be scheduled according to the following shift hours:
(a) Eight hour rotating shifts Sunday 11:00 p.m. - Friday 11:00 p.m. 1st Shift - 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 2nd Shift - 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 3rd Shift - 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Twenty minutes for lunch with two - ten minute breaks (paid).
(b) Eight hour steady day shift Monday to Friday Shift Hours (1 ) 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Twenty-minute lunch (paid) (2) 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. One hour for lunch (unpaid) Ordinarily from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. except in cases of emergency.
(1 ) (2) receives two - ten minute paid break Periods.

a) In recognition of the unique nature of the Retail Store operation, the Company shall be permitted to run seven (7) days a week without penalty. For all employees a week's work shall consist of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, or four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days, or three (3) consecutive twelve (12) hour days with pay for forty (40) hours, unless mutually agreed between the Company and the Union. a) In recognition of the unique nature of the Retail Store operation, the Company shall be permitted to run seven (7) days a week without penalty. For all Employees a week's work shall consist of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, or four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days, or three (3) consecutive twelve (12) hour days with pay for forty (40) hours, subject to Employee availability or unless mutually agreed between the Company and the Union. Additional Employees may be hired on a part-time basis as necessary to meet operational requirements so long as the hiring does not reduce regular hours offered to existing Employees.
b) Work performed in excess of the scheduled shift (8, 10, or 12 hours as applicable), shall be overtime and shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half for the first two (2) hours of overtime and double time thereafter.
c) Overtime shall be voluntary on the part of every Employee. However, if no Employees volunteer to work overtime, the Company shall schedule required Employees, in reverse order of seniority, to work.
