Jury Duty Leaves. Absence for jury service by an Employee is recognized by the Employer as approved leave and will not be chargeable to accumulated sick leave. The Employer agrees to pay the difference between jury payment and the Employee's regular daily wage.

Jury Duty Leaves. 1. All school employees who are called to jury duty shall notify the Superintendent as soon as notice is received. Employees shall request the court to defer jury duty whenever possible to the summer months. The Superintendent will confirm and support such requests when necessary.
Jury Duty Leaves. Teachers called for jury duty during work hours shall inform the Superintendent of such notice the first working day after it is received. A bargaining unit member required to serve during work hours shall be required to remit to the Board all compensation received of the court for his/her service as a juror.

In order to receive payment under this section, an employee must give the Employer prior notice that he has been summoned for jury duty and must furnish satisfactory evidence that jury duty was performed on the days for which he claims such payment. The provisions of this section are not applicable to any employee who, without being summoned, volunteers for jury duty.

Jury Duty Leaves. An Employee required to serve as a juror shall receive regular wages. In order to receive payment for such duty, the Employee must submit certification of service and assign all fees, except mileage and parking allowance, received for such duty, to the district. When released from a duty during working hours in the A.M., the Employee shall report to work and work in the P. M. schedule.

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.

  • Jury Duty 31.1 An employee who is summoned for jury duty and is required to lose time from his assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one basic day's pay at the straight time rate of his position for each day lost, less the amount allowed him for jury duty for each such day excluding allowances paid by the court for meals, lodging or transportation, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

Whenever any full-time permanent employee is required to be absent from work by a proper subpoena, issued by a court or commission legally empowered to subpoena witnesses, which compels the employee's presence as a witness, unless the employee is a party or an expert witness, the employee shall be allowed the time necessary to be absent from work at the employee's regular pay to comply with such subpoena, provided the employee deposits any witness fees, except mileage, with the County Treasurer.
