MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTION LEAVES. 10.9.1 The services of an employee who is absent from work under these leaves shall be considered continuous, and the Employer shall continue to make payment to any pension, medical or other plan beneficial to the employee in the same manner as if the employee were not absent. 10.9.2 When an employee resumes employment at the expiration of these leaves, the employee shall be reinstated in all respects by the Employer into the position previously occupied and with all increments to wages and benefits to which the employee would have been entitled had the leave not been taken.

MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTION LEAVES. Note: Additional provisions regarding Supplemental Employment Benefit Plan for Maternity and Parental Leave are contained in the Common (provincial) Agreement dated April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2010. Such Supplemental Benefit Plan provision is contained in Article 8.5 of the Common Agreement.
MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTION LEAVES. Upon written request, an employee shall be entitled to maternity, parental and adoption leaves of absence without pay and without loss of seniority as provided for by and pursuant to the Canada Labour Code. An employee returning to work after maternity, parental or adoption leave shall provide the Employer with at least two (2) weeks’ notice. On return from maternity, parental or adoption leave, the employee will be placed in a position consistent with the Canada Labour Code and the seniority provisions of this Agreement. While on maternity, parental or adoption leave, the employee shall be entitled to all provisions of this Collective Agreement other than those mentioned.

A Teacher shall be granted Maternity Leave, Parental Leave and Adoption Leave in accordance with all the provisions of Legislation and the Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement. i) Insofar as reasonably practicable, a Teacher shall be reinstated to the position and locality occupied prior to the leave. 2. MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTION LEAVES. 18.01 Applicable to employees with thirteen (13) weeks or more of service prior to the date of leave or in accordance with legislation.
MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTION LEAVES. It is the Company’s intent to establish a new maternity leave allowance which will provide seniority employees with up to 16 weeks of benefits at 75% of Weekly Straight Time Pay less Employment Insurance benefits. In addition, it is the Company’s intent to establish new parental and adoption leave allowances which will provide seniority employees with 10 weeks of benefits, or for duration of the leave, if shorter, at 65% of Weekly Straight Time Pay less Employment Insurance benefits. It is the intent of the Company to implement this new procedure no later than April 1, 1997. The parties agree that the adoption leave allowance will be at 75% of Weekly Straight Time Pay less Employment Insurance benefits for up to 16 weeks if Employment Insurance adoption leave benefits are modified to equate with maternity leave benefits.
