MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. Following negotiations between the parties, the following measures designed to achieve real gains in productivity, efficiency and flexibility have or will be implemented.
10.1 The continuation of harmonious industrial relations with the union and its members committed to pursue industrial matters through the appropriate tribunals (if necessary), and the agreed disputes procedure;
10.2 The commitment from the union and its members to actively pursue and participate in ensuring the company maintains a World Best Practice Safety Record.
10.3 A commitment from the Union and its members to implement training schemes which will enhance career path opportunities and reclassification of employees in line with national competency standards for the poultry industry. Such training will be undertaken without loss of pay.
MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. The parties have agreed to achieve real and demonstrable gains in productivity improvements. This includes incorporating the productivity, efficiency and flexibility measures contained in previous agreements into this Agreement.
MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. 7.1. This Agreement is based on a commitment to the active review and implementation of opportunities to improve the Company’s competitive nature both domestically and internationally. The aim is to achieve this through the improvements of safety, quality, cycle time, productivity, cost effectiveness, overall efficiency and the reduction of waste.
7.2. This in turn will create long term job security and a working environment which is able to respond to changing business needs and competitive pressures on the Company, and accommodate the personal needs, individual responsibilities and ambitions of all employees. All employees are committed to improving performance in safety, absenteeism, quality and days late. The Operations team will be the instrument for monitoring, planning and recommending improvement activities that will improve performance. The Company sets Companywide KPI’s each year, monitors and communicates the results monthly. The Company’s long-term targets are for Zero harm, Zero Customer defects and Zero Days late.
7.3. This clause 7 is subject to the Marcopolo Australia Passion for Excellence (MAPE) Policy, as amended from time to time. The MAPE Policy current at the date of this Agreement is annexed to this Agreement at Appendix C. In future, the Company may consider any other reasonable incentive scheme that rewards and encourages the workforce in improving performance. Such a scheme will be outside the Agreement and negotiated through a Consultative Committee and the Management Team.
7.4. All employees are committed to the following principles of process improvement:
a. Continuous productivity improvement through the elimination of waste and achieving better workflow will be the normal way we work. All employees will be encouraged to suggest additional individual improvements wherever possible.
b. Each employee will take responsibility for the production process, provided it is within his/her level of skill and competence.
c. The parties agree to co-operate in providing flexible and imaginative solutions to work practices.
d. A shared commitment to increase skills and training, including broad skills to adapt to change, solve problems, reduce hierarchy and promote teamwork and flexibility, within the whole process.
e. The Company is committed to continuous investment in new technology, research and development, skill enhancement, training and career development.

MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. 6.2.1 Demarcation & Work Functions
(a) The first load of chickens will be ready for dispatch by 7.30 am each day if the facility is not feather sexing the day olds.
(b) The second load of chickens will be ready for dispatch between 8.45 am and 9.00 am each day if the facility is not feather sexing the day olds.
(c) The transfer of eggs (twelve trolleys only) from the incubators to hatchers is to be completed in 3.5 hours plus 1 hour clean-up. These hours are subject to flock age, health status and shell quality.
(d) Clean-up, boxes and keyways are to be washed and sanitised, by normal ceasing time.

7.1 The working of unnotified overtime shall not incur meal monies to be paid unless more than 5½ hours of overtime have been completed on any day;

7.3 The commitment from the union and its members to actively pursue and participate in ensuring the company maintains a world best practice safety record.
MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. In making this Agreement, the Parties are undertaking to co-operatively and positively work towards creating the most efficient means of providing maintenance and tooling requirements to the production process, including the correct adjustment and setting of all equipment for the production of product to the Company’s product specification or as otherwise directed and consistent with occupational health and safety requirements. This is to be achieved through the identification of work practices and work/job organisation, which mitigate against maximizing maintenance and tooling “up time”. These items may include cost control, reduced down time and efficiency administering the engineering stores. The Parties are committed to the aim of Enterprise Bargaining and to have the Consultative Committee develop Performance Indicators on an ongoing basis in the following areas as may be identified from time to time including the following:

In making this Enterprise Agreement, the parties are undertaking to co-operatively and positively work towards creating the most efficient means of providing service delivery in a timely fashion in order to meet the needs of customers. This is to be achieved through the identification of work practices and work job organisation which seeks to ensure the running of trucks on the most efficient routes, ensuring that truck time on the road is maximised.
MEASURES TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY. Measures designed to achieve real and demonstrable gains in productivity, efficiency and flexibility have been implemented. Employees will continue to review and propose improvements encompassed in Annexure A to this agreement.
