Military Leave Jury Duty. Section 27.1. Paid Military Leave of Twenty-Two Days (22) or Less. In each calendar year, members who serve in the Ohio National Guard, Ohio Military Reserve, Ohio Naval Militia, U.S. Air Force Reserve, U.S. Army Reserve, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, or the U.S. Naval Reserve (defined as “military duty”) shall be granted military leave of absence without loss of pay for a period or periods not to exceed twenty-two (22) eight (8) hour days or one hundred seventy-six (176) hours during each federal fiscal year (October 1 to September 30) when a member is ordered to active duty, when a member is ordered to military training exercises conducted in the field, when a member fulfills his/her unit training assembly requirements, and/or when the Governor of the State of Ohio or the President of the United States declares that a state of emergency exists, and the member is ordered to active duty for purposes of that emergency. A member’s regular wages shall be paid for the period or periods of time so served without deduction or offset for whatever amount such member may receive as military base pay. Members are required to submit to the City an order or statement from the appropriate military commander as evidence of such duty. There is not a requirement that the service be in one continuous period of time. The maximum numbers of hours for which payment will be made in any one fiscal year under this provision is one hundred seventy-six hours (176). Members of those components listed in paragraph one above will be granted emergency leave for mob, riot, civil defense, or similar duties when so ordered by the Governor to assist civil authorities. Such emergency leave will be without pay if it exceeds authorized military leave for the fiscal year. Members who are called or ordered to service by the President of the United States or an act of Congress for periods beyond the authorized military leave for the fiscal year shall be compensated consistent with the Ohio Revised Code. The leave will cover the official period of the emergency.
Military Leave Jury Duty. A teacher who is called for National Guard or reserve duty shall try to have his service deferred to a time that will not conflict with his obligations to his students. If the teacher must serve in any emergency, he shall receive the difference between his regular pay and his military pay for the duration of the emergency. All teachers who are called to serve as jurors shall receive their regular pay less their pay as jurors for each day of jury duty, provided that such teacher gives written notice to the Superintendent or his designee within 48 hours after he/she receives the call to jury duty and provided the teacher furnishes the Superintendent or his/her designee with a copy of any check stub or receipt indicating the dates for which jury duty pay was received.

Military Leave Jury Duty. The Employer will grant military leave for eligible employees in accordance with provisions of the New Jersey Administrative Code. Employees summoned to serve jury duty shall be granted time off without loss of pay by the Employer. An employee is required to return to work from jury duty if the employee is excused from serving on the jury for either the morning or afternoon session. Employees subpoenaed as witnesses in civil or criminal cases involving them in their capacity as City of Burlington employees will be granted a paid leave of absence for the time in which they are officially involved with the court in that capacity. Employees summoned as jurors or subpoenaed as a witness must submit a copy of the summons or subpoena with a written request for leave to their Department Director indicating the anticipated date of return. The Department Director will forward the written request and the copy of the summons or subpoena to the Business Administrator by the end of the next working day. The Business Administrator and City Attorney shall review all subpoenas. The Business Administrator will approve the leave in writing to the employee and the Department Director by the end of the next working day. Employees must notify their immediate supervisor as soon as possible if the length of jury duty has been extended beyond the original return date. On the first day of their return to work, employees must present a jury attendance slip, provided by the court, to their Department Director or supervisor to be attached to the weekly time sheet.
Military Leave Jury Duty. The Company will comply with the provisions of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, 38 U.S.C. §4301 et seq. ("USERRA"). Leave taken under USERRA shall be unpaid, provided that, an Employee may elect to use any accrued paid time off in lieu of unpaid military leave. Employer will pay difference between their gross military pay and their normal regular weekly earnings for up to sixty (60) days. Military orders must be provided.
