NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. This committee shall represent the bargaining unit in negotiating renewal agreements and handling complaints and grievances. The committee shall consist of not more than two (2) members of the Association. Time spent during regular working hours for meetings with representatives of the Employer shall be paid by the Employer except for attendance at arbitration. It is agreed that no more than one (1) member of the committee shall attend meetings to discuss grievances.

NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. 6.01 (A) The employees will select a six (6) person committee, all of whom shall have had one year’s service with the Company.
NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. (A) The employees will select a seven (7) person committee, all of whom shall have had one year’s service with the Company. The seven (7) members selected as in the preceding sec- tion provided, shall constitute a bargaining committee for the purpose of negotiating with the Company, with respect to proposed amendments to this Agreement, notice of which shall have been given pursuant of Article Each plant committee, as mentioned in Section may appoint a xxxxxxx on any shift in any production area under the supervi- sion of a supervisor where there is no committee person employed. Any employee appointed as a xxxxxxx shall have had six months service with the Company. The Company shall be notified forthwith of any such appointment. The appointment shall forthwith be rescinded at any time when there is a committee person employed in the same production area on the same shift as the xxxxxxx. In the event that two or more committee people are employed in one production area on the same shift, the committee shall forthwith designate to the Company one committee person in that production area who shall alone be entitled to handle grievances arising in such produc- tion area pursuant to the procedure hereinafter provided. A xxxxxxx during their term of office shall be deemed to be a committee member within the meaning of Section to inclusive in the absence of a committee person. (A) The Chairperson or designate, being employed in the division in one plant may request permitted leave, which shall not be unreasonably withheld, to investigate the circumstances of a grievance which has been processed through Step of the grievance procedure in the division in the other plant. The permitted leave shall only be long enough to make a reasonable investigation. NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. 4:01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a Negotiating Committee of not more than three (3) employees, and will recognize and deal with the said Committee with respect to any matter which may properly arise from time to time during the term of this agreement. 4:02 The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of a representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees who shall have access to the Employer's premises in order to investigate or assist in the settlement of grievances. 4:03 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select three (3) stewards one of whom shall represent the Supply Staff, from among its members. 4:04 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a Grievance Committee composed of any two (2) of its three (3) stewards. 4:05 The Union acknowledges that the Stewards, Members of the Grievance and Negotiating Committees, and the Union Officers have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer and such persons shall not absent themselves from their regular duties without obtaining prior approval from their immediate supervisor. The Employer agrees to maintain the pay of two (2) employees on approved absence for all reasonable time so spent but only for such hours that are straight time regularly scheduled working hours. 4:06 The Union agrees to notify the Employer in writing of the names of the Stewards and members of the Negotiating and Grievance Committees and to notify the Employer in writing of any changes in such Committee members. 4:07 The parties agree to establish a Joint Consultation Committee with equal representation from each party to deal with matters of mutual concern relating to the workplace. The terms and conditions of the committee are outlined in the letter appended to this Collective Agreement entitled Joint Consultation Committee - Terms and Conditions.

NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. (a) The Company will recognize and meet with a Plant Negotiating and Grievance Committee of three (3) people (at least one must be elected from the skilled trades area) including the Chairperson (who will be assigned to a day shift job), elected by the Union, in a manner determined by the Union. An additional person may be elected and assigned to the Committee when the Bargaining Unit exceeds 200 employees and one (1) additional committee member for each 100 employees thereafter. (b) Any member of the Negotiating and Grievance Committee who attends grievance meetings will be paid by the Company at straight time for the time spent, except when working assigned overtime. Every effort will be made to hold these meetings during regular working hours. Committee members attending weekly Union/Management meetings will be paid overtime for hours in excess of their normal scheduled shift. (c) At any meeting with Management, the Negotiating and Grievance Committee may have present; a Representative of the National Union. The Company may have present persons other than Management personnel.

NEGOTIATING AND GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. 4.01 A Negotiating Committee shall be appointed and consist of the Board of Directors of the Association, and the Union, two (2) of whom shall be employees of the Association. The Union will advise the Association of the Union nominees to the Committee. 4.02 The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of a representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees when dealing or negotiating with the Association. 4.03 In the event of either party wishing to call a meeting of the Committee, the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Association or the Secretary of the Union, as the case may be, shall be notified. The said meeting shall be held at a time and place as shall be fixed by mutual agreement. 4.04 All matters of mutual concern pertaining to performance of work, operational problems, rates of pay, hours of work, collective bargaining, promotion or discharge of employees and other working conditions, etc. shall be referred to the Negotiating Committee for discussion and settlement. 4.05 Any representative of the Union on this Committee who is in the employ of the Association, shall have the privilege of attending meetings of the Committee held within working hours without loss of remuneration. 4.06 The Association acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a Grievance Committee of two (2) members, one of whom shall be an employee of the Association and the President of the Local. The personnel of such Committee shall be communicated to the Association.
