Orientation Training. A registrant who accepts an offer of available work shall be entitled to a reasonable amount of orientation and/or training.
Orientation Training. Every new employee will receive orientation that provides an overview of the role and function of the Employer. This may be done on a group basis and shall be given as needed. The orientation may also include, but need not be limited to, a discussion of standard office procedures, forms, techniques, and equipment. New employees shall have the opportunity to meet with a union xxxxxxx as a part of the orientation program.
Orientation Training. All Apprentices entering the Apprenticeship program shall receive orientation training at a designated training center pursuant to a curriculum developed by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee. Such participation in the Orientation Training shall be at the discretion of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
Orientation Training. Every new employee will receive orientation that provides an overview of the role and function of the Agency. Such orientation may also include, but is not limited to, current procedures, forms, methods, techniques, materials and equipment. This may be done on a group basis and shall be given as needed. Employees who work in Corrections, Youth Services, MH and MR/DD facilities will be provided training in crisis intervention techniques to appropriately respond to client behavior that could result in injury to self or others.
37.04 - In-Service Training
Orientation Training. New employees may be required to attend orientation training on a live-in basis. During such training they will be required to attend sessions on the schedule established, for which they shall receive the normal bi-weekly salary appropriate to their job classification. Their duty station shall be considered the training site for the duration of the program.
Orientation Training. (a) The parties to the Collective Agreement recognize the value of orientation programs for employees and that the responsibility for providing such programs lies with the Employer. General orientation for new employees shall include:
i) fire and disaster plan;
ii) organizational structure;
iii) relevant policies and procedures;
iv) physical layout of the worksite and unit;

(b) The Employer agrees to provide a minimum of three (3) shifts orientation in a manner it deems appropriate to employees new to the worksite to enable the employee to adjust. The orientation will be conducted by an employee who has completed their probation and qualifying period.
Orientation Training. At the discretion of the Principal and before the start of the first year of service, newly hired teachers shall be paid for up to two additional scheduled in-service days for the purposes of orientation. The Principal shall schedule these days at his discretion, but with at least five days advanced notice to the teacher(s). The content of the orientation will be determined by the Principal and will cover such topics as teaching assignments, the teacher evaluation process, school-wide programs, operational policies and procedures, and the like. In any LNSU elementary school engaged in the “Responsive Classroom” initiative, it shall be a condition of employment of any newly hired teacher at that Principal’s discretion that the new teacher attends the week long “Responsive Classroom” summer training on an unpaid basis just prior to or immediately following his first contract year. Tuition and program fees will be paid by the applicable district. If the Principal directs the teacher’s attendance at training that is more than 60 miles from the school then reasonable overnight travel expenses will also be covered. In no event will the costs of this program count toward the teacher’s annual tuition reimbursement entitlement as detailed in Article IX.
Orientation Training. Regular full-time and part-time and relief Residential Counselors will receive the following training and orientation:
a. Training manual and job description;
b. Attend a week of formal orientation training, which will include:
1. Program goals and philosophy;
2. Intervention strategies;
3. Holds/humane restraint training: demonstration during orientation training and hands-on practice prior to working on line;
4. Overview of day-to-day procedures and routines
5. Overview of emergency procedures;
6. General presentation of clients;
7. Client rights;
8. Child abuse policy and mandated reporting law;
9. Log writing, service notes, on shift and incident reporting;
10. Med training
11. Behavior Management
12. HIPAA training
c. Spend a total of two to four (2-4) hours of in-person observation time divided among program sites, with the exception of individuals who have satisfied this requirement through prior work experience within the program.
d. A Representative from UAW will be invited to attend all Residential Orientation days where full time or part time staff are scheduled to attend, and will be afforded up to thirty (30) minutes to meet with new staff. The schedule will be provided quarterly by the Director of Residential Services or their designee.
Orientation Training. The District will provide a consistent general orientation session for new Bargaining Unit Members during their first week of employment. This would reference the secretarial handbook and district policies and procedures. All employment forms should be completed at this time.
