Unpaid Leave for Personal Reasons. With the exception of the following categories, unpaid leave for personal reasons will be granted only in rare and unusual circumstances. Normally an employee will be eligible for unpaid leave for personal reasons after the employee has exhausted all personal or annual leave in accordance with Article 10.4.

Unpaid Leave for Personal Reasons. Under certain circumstances, you may be given a personal leave of absence for a specified period of time. Requests for personal leave will be evaluated based on your work record, your department's staffing needs, and your reason for requesting the leave. The circumstances determine the length of the leave, but a personal leave of absence typically may not exceed thirty (30) days. Employees returning from a personal leave is not guaranteed a return to their former job. If a position is available for which you are qualified, you may apply and compete for that opening. Employees on a leave of absence without FML coverage shall pay the full portion of the Insurance premium while off work. Payments must be made monthly in order to maintain their benefits.
Unpaid Leave for Personal Reasons. Unless otherwise provided in this Article, a faculty member on an unpaid leave for personal reasons shall be entitled to (a) return to the same or comparable position which he/she held immediately before commencement of the leave, (b) receive no credit for annual salary increments provided during his/her leave, (c) purchase a one-year policy for insurance for the year of the leave by paying the premium, for the year, in advance, to the District's Business Office.
Unpaid Leave for Personal Reasons. Telenor may, at its own discretion, grant an Employee use of unpaid leave in duration of maximum 12 months. Potential cases are medical treatment or studying at Employee’s cost. If Telenor has interest and it does not prevent its business operations, the unpaid leave can be extended for additional 12 month period. Whenever an Employee uses unpaid leave for personal reasons, all his/her labour related rights and obligations are suspended, and as case may be, the Employee shall be responsible for payment of possible legal liabilities.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Paid Leave of Absence Upon request an employee shall be granted a leave of absence with pay for:
